Hi Blue Cat - I just noticed that your peak filters stop at 16KHz - do things get funny after that point or something. It's a common thing to set a peak at 20KHz or thereabouts and shape the bell to make a nice shelf or roll off.
Also I'm trying to do a cut at 19KHz - it's just A/D or tape distortion I can't hear it but noticed in on the spectrum and tried to clean it up...

There is no issue with the filters after 16 kHz, it was just a design choice some time ago. We could easily increase this value up to 20 kHz in the next version (when we have enough things to add, we will release a 3.1).

I guess a flow chart in the documentation could help...kylen wrote: Oops - you're right - I got confused about the views - my mistake. For some reason I thought the gains were inputs before the ms split, even though you painstakenly colored them so I could see they are seperate...![]()

The Parametr'EQ series have now been updated to V3.1 with the following changes:
- Frequency ranges have been enlarged (up to 20 kHz, are you happy kylen?)
- Skins update (Stereo and Widening plugins): some sliders did not have the color of the corresponding channel.
- Bug fix (VST): in some hosts, when a loading a project the parameters where not properly restored and the response curve was flat.
- Bug fix (skinning): knobs did not display the disabled state image.
The update from 3.0 to 3.1 is free for registered users, and special introduction and update prices are still available for others.
Enjoy!

Hey, good news!
Darn, I forgot to submit my feature request. Where would you prefer FR's? This thread? Your official forum?

Cool. Well, I got your attention, so I'll just put it here. I was thinking: the only thing I think is missing from this EQ are draggable nodes on the graph display. When I first started playing with it, once a band is activated and a boost is made, I kind of expected to have the option to just grab the node and alter it with the mouse. Also, I expected to be able to modify "Q" with alt (or similar). I don't think these are possible now?
Obviously not life-or-death ideas, but it would be nice, especially for sweeping through bands.

Don't worry, wherever you post (on our forum, in one of the threads we have posted in, via PM or email),we are always listening.bduffy wrote:Cool. Well, I got your attention, so I'll just put it here.
It's not possible now, but we have some widgets in work for a future version of our skinning engine which will make this possible. The design for this EQ was more based on usual knobs and sliders anyway (because some people prefer it this way), and we will propose in the future other products with full graphical representation and edition capabilities.bduffy wrote: I was thinking: the only thing I think is missing from this EQ are draggable nodes on the graph display. Cool. Really, you've got the most important things covered; I'd much rather have knobs + sliders and numerical entry than draggable nodes, but seeing as the Blue Cat ethos tends to be to cover every possible need, I thought it might be nice to have that there too. Totally not a priority request or anything.Blue Cat Audio wrote:It's not possible now, but we have some widgets in work for a future version of our skinning engine which will make this possible. Now for some reason, touching the opacity slider makes Cubase disappear in my second monitor...

Well, we do not want to cover ALL requirements, we are only open to all interesting suggestions.as the Blue Cat ethos tends to be to cover every possible need, I thought it might be nice to have that there too. Totally not a priority request or anything.
Funny. And if all your windows are on the same monitor, does the window still disappear? BTW what do you mean by "disappear"?bduffy wrote: Now for some reason, touching the opacity slider makes Cubase disappear in my second monitor...

I mean that, on the 2nd monitor, Cubase will vanish, except for the transport, and I'll see the desktop. Actually, I've tried it right now, and Cubase will not respond, it's frozen...except for the transport bar, which is working fine!Blue Cat Audio wrote:bduffy wrote: I more than believe you.![]()

This happens regardless of which monitor I adjust the opacity level on.

Ok, this probably means that you are using the plugin in a non "always on top" window. If you right click on the plugin window (outside our plugin UI), a menu might appear and propose you an "always on top" option that should make the opacity function work. BTW this functionality is host-dependant as stated on our website, since we unfortunately do not control the host architecture.
Which version of Cubase are you using? We already know that Wavelab does not support this functionality.

I'm using SX 3(final). Ah! The good old "Always on Top". I wasn't using it, good call. Frankly, I've got little interest in making plugins see-through, I would never use this, I don't think, I just wanted to report the weird behaviour. Thanks for the help!Blue Cat Audio wrote:Ok, this probably means that you are using the plugin in a non "always on top" window. Well, it's a bonus feature you tend to use a lot when you get used to it
. Especially for the metering plugins or if you have a small screen.

Oh, yes, I could see that more for the metering plugins...Blue Cat Audio wrote:Well, it's a bonus feature you tend to use a lot when you get used to it. Especially for the metering plugins or if you have a small screen.
