vespers75 wrote:I just checked out your track drumity...its pretty cool, actually...it kinda reminds me of the band Filter in some ways. I really like what the track was getting into at the end with what sounds like that chorused clean guitar...that part was really cool, but it seems like it stopped to soon, in my opinion. You could really develop that part some more, or perhaps make it go on a bit longer.
I'm glad you like the track ! ;-)
Unfortunately I can't develop that part because the recording session was at easter ;-)
But this sudden end was an idea I really liked, 'cause it's different to what you hear normally and you don't estimate it after the hardcore monkey :D ... the ending on 4 a and a let the listener stay in this cloud of sound ! ;-)
vespers75 wrote: I could probably sing over this song if you wanted....maybe some softer vocals during the verse, possibly alternating a few lines with the voice effected by a filter or telephone simulation in a few spots, and then kick it up a little and be more aggresive during the chorus, perhaps? The only thing is, due to my work schedule, the earliest I could lay down the tracks would be Friday morning.
Sounds really cool ! Let it flow ! ;-) For inspiration about the lyrics download the cover or just write down what cross ya mind ! :D
Do ya feel good about the song structure ? As written I can change this very flexible ... means the verses could be twice as long .. same with the chorusses ! Let me know !
Just take your time ... the birthday is in july ... so keep cool ;-)

What parts of this recording did you create and how?

The right singer must be looking for you.

Great groove drum, guitar and mix.

Powerful and melodic.

Sounds successful

Can you do this magic with many songs?

Nice words RonDP ! ;-)
As written this was a demonstration what's possible with minimal equipement (pLugs) !
What are the ingredients for this track ??
Just a few things ;-)

I create all parts of the recording except the guitar part ==>>
- Red wine and cheese-session :D
- Addictive Drums
- Bass played with Bass Samples on Axiom25
- Guitar played by good friend
- Mixed and mastered with minimal plugs (Ozone, L2)

So RonDP perhaps you are the right singer ?? ;-)

I have several songs in different styles ... in due time I will post them or upload them on myspace !

@bailees7irish

Just let me know if you want me to expand the track ... as written it's possible to double the verse and/or the chorus ! This would expand the track to hit length ;-)

@vespers75

No, I haven't as of yet...especially since that Bailey's Irish dude seems so stoked with singing on it...which brings me to this question: what happens if several people submit their version of it?
"a confession without need of absolution, without need of redemption"

As written this is a birthday present ... if there are several versions it will be a EP or whatever ;-)
Please don't think if someone else are stoked to sing it, that you doesn't have to sing anymore !
I'm really looking forward to your version ! ;-)
I would be pleased if many people will submit their versions !
Any version is welcome and will be part of the present !

But if you don't want the other people in this forum hear your version, so you can email it to me or host it anywhere !

Nah, its cool...I'll still lay vocals on my version then! I was just wondering if other versions would be scrapped in lieu of any other version that you might like better. :D

Perhaps I could have pointed this out at the beginning of this topic !

TO ALL:

Any interpretation of my track is very welcome and it would be really cool if this could be a double-cd ! :D
The music will be not so diversified then ;-) ... but the varied interpretations will be interesting !
