Created from a favorite trick of mine. The samples are created by importing (.txt, .midi, .pdf, ext.) really anything i can find as RAW 24bit audio Data. I then Edit & Tweak out the samples. Pure Digital chaos. Nothing analog about this kit!

Hi I just came across the signaltonoize site yesterday and am wondering how exactly I can use the kits from there in RMV; specifically some other kits from the site (the EB pultec, EB raw).
When unzipped I end up with a DS4 file (the kit preset?) and a folder of D4T files (the samples in Linplug's proprietary format?).
I don't see the DS4 format anywhere in my RMV folder, but I am guessing that is because the extension is now RMV_KIT.
I do see the D4T extension in some numbered sub-folders in the PADS directory though.
As a guess I put the folder of samples in the PADS directory, and the DS4 file in the KITS directory. They didn't show up in the library but maybe this is because I need to import them? Enough conjecture though, I just need some insight into the use of RMIV files.
Also any insight into the PAD\numbered folders relationship would be great.
Thanks
PS thanks for the downloads.. can't comment (yet) on them much, obviously

If you want to load a kit from older version of RM, then just click 'import' button on Kit Librarian panel

cheers,
Bart
Different directories hold different sample types. For instance in dir '1' there are only kick samples, in '2' only snare samples, etc... In RMV go to the setup page and look at Sample Paths - that will explain the meaning of all other numbersChester Desmond wrote: Also any insight into the PAD\numbered folders relationship would be great.
