cannot exactly tell which waveform you shoud go with, but you would probably have to use an envelope on your filter to create this whoaming sound..(may be some portamento too)

That sounds like two filtered square waves a 5th apart (c-g for example) with a fast portamento and a bit of delay.

Sorry - I thought you had (atleast) basic music theory knowledge. My description above should be more than enough to get you going with even the most basic subtractive synthesizer.

By C and G CinningBao means the notes of the scale. The interval between the notes C and G is called a "fifth." From C to E is a "third," and when you put those together you get a C major chord. Without the third it's just the sound CinningBao is describing, two tones a fifth apart.

Portamento is a plain upward or downward glide from one pitch to another. It can be a slow ooze or a quick slide, or anything between.

Grab a freeware subtractive synth and play around with it. Google for a good online intro to the basics of music theory, then work through it. Theory gets thick after a while but you'll do a lot better if you have the simple stuff straight.
