posted in ot originally, not everyone goes there though.
in a thread about a day of mine which i spent some of in the garden with a few toys a laptop and my amp. the recording was done before the amp, next time id like to maybe set up some mics around the garden and record it with natural sounds also.

How can you make sounds that seem so simple, yet so intriguing to the ear? I guess the answer lies in the deceptive simplicity; as I can tell, upon critical listening, that they are not simple at all... merely subtle.

But I want to hear it from you. The only person I know that has the patience to make atmospheres similar to this grew up without television. My ADD prevents me from making such beauty but luckily it doesn't keep me from enjoying it.

thats the idea, veg out and let it flow...
and that kind of answers how i do it too justin, i spend time building loops and samples, from anything and everything. then feed those into various samplers from reaktor add fx in the chain then just play around whilst recording.
sometimes it works, sometimes even i run away screaming
