[Please forgive the duplicate posting from the samplers forum, but I really need some help - Squids!?!?]

Oh dear...

Just received my copy of MP CE and I'm having a lot of difficulty. I'm sure it's completely brilliant - and IK have been brilliant getting it to me so quickly - but the sounds installer didn't seem to work on my Macbook (OS 10.4.9), so on IK's very helpful advice I copied all the sounds manually to the instruments folder. But no Combis are showing up in the menus - where would I find them on the installation discs and where should they go?

Any help would be HUGELY appreciated asap!

I don't know where they are on the disk but there should be a presets folder in the same directory where the sounds folder is.

you might want to repair permissions, reboot, then run the installer again. it really should work.

Hey, there...

Well, the problem is I'm having to copy everything across myself. So there is a presets folder there, but it's understandably empty! I guess I'm asking which files (suffixes) go into that folder from the DVD and which go into the Instruments folder. The manual, sadly doesn't help.

And it's not a permissions thing - done, tried, no joy. :-(

Any more ideas?

I am also having similar Miroslav Philharmonik CE problems. I have a Mac G5 ppc, running PT's LE 7.1., have installed the program, but my instrument window remains empty. I can pull the instruments in, but they won't stay. I have to manually go to my external HD,to the 'root folder', everytime and choose them, but if I switch instruments, it replace the instruments folder that I was previously using. Huh? I have re-installed, and run repair permissions, but there is no change. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Your best bet is to contact IK tech support for help and they can walk you through it if that's what's needed.
