hi everyone, just got a delta 44 and was wondering how (if possible) would I go about setting it up to record sounds into something like soundforge 7 or 8.
The idea is to enable me to record sound sources (playing back in a browser for example) that cannot be downloaded or accquired in any other way.

Basically what I need is to configure the 44 to route the signal coming out of outputs 1+2 (my main O/Ps which connect to my amp+speakers) to a program such as Soundforge 7 or 8 as well as to my speakers, so I can record the output signal whilst also monitoring it thru my speakers.

I used to have a Soundblaster Live a few years back and that had a little check box in the internal router/patchaby that allowed the user to record what they would hear through their speakers (The option to be ticked was called "What U Hear"). Im looking for something like this on the 44.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I'm sure there must be an option to record "what you hear", can you post an image with the "In" options somewhere?
Otherwise: If you have a Mixer: Just use the "Sends", throw a cable to the "Ins", deactivate monitoring and thats it.

* set the input in soundforge to be "monitor mixer" or delta multichannel (depends on what drivers you're using)

* in the delta control panel (open from system tray or [control panels: m-audio delta]) turn up the mains and the other channels you want to record. you might want to set the 1+2 output on the next tab to monitor mixer as well -- up to you.

thanks guys, found the solution.

I had to select the option to send the signal from H/W Out 3/4 to "H/W In 1+2" on the soundcards router.

On Soundforge I set the record device to:
"Mixer In L Delta44[1]\"Mixer In R Delta44[1]"
