I am about to release a new sample set and soundfont will be the first format available. The set contains roughly 200 MB of samples and if it's released as a single soundfont, it may be too large for some people.
An option would be to split it in a number of smaller soundfonts. For instance would four 50 MB soundfonts be preferable, or eight 25 MB soundfonts, or another size?
What do you think? Vote in the poll and/or post your opinion in this thread.
What size for a soundfont?

I voted for 2 a 100 mb each,
tho a single wouldn't be a problem for me,
but I wouldn't like to load more than 2 when I use them.

SFZ and SFZ+ both stream SF2 files perfectly well. No excuse to split it. IMO

Seems like most people so far would have no problems with a large soundfont. Still time to vote.
