being able to load several files (samples, as i suggested in the drumtrack FR some minutes ago, or plugins, or whatever else) at once.

I noticed that I can drag from XT1's browser to XT2 but I can't drag from XT2's browser to XT1.

Some consistency issues in the browser that tick me off a little.

1) Presets from the Multi-Effect unit are not recognised in the "Presets" folder (I've added this one to the BR/Inconsistencies thread.)

2) You cannot drag-n-drop .xte Multi-presets into the Comps window to create a new Multi unit. (Given that this is inconsistent from how the .xts files work this could probably be added to the BR/Inconsistencies thread as well)

3) You can only drag-n-drop .dll files from the Plugins folder. You cannot drag them in from your drives. Again this is inconsistent as you can drag in .xts files, .wav files, midi files...However, having said that I'm guessing this one might be for a good reason.

Will add to inconsistancies.

You can drag from windows to component and midi tracks but not to the mixer, if I recall. It's in the known issues list already. ANother interesting thing. You can drag from XT1 browser to XT 2 but noth the other way around  (too small to add to list)

Sorry soma - when I say "Drives", I mean the drives entry on the browser, not from Windows.

Actually - it might be worth scratching anyway as it was an old thing from me and I was just checking on my work laptop and didn't have any trouble drag-n-dropping from the browser Disks folders to various places. I will have a look again when I get home.

Woo hoo....preview within the browser with arrow keys! MUCH better workflow! Thanks Jorgen!

uhm...can we have the option to set a key shortcut to load the sample/plug etc.? sorry....don't mean to be finicky but it would mean less mouse use and that equals totally cool! 8)

So whichever track is selected, hitting the shortcut key will load selected file within the browser to that specific track.

IE...i use the arrow keys to scroll through samples. I hit the shortcut qwerty key on a specific sample and it loads to the drum track i have selected within the sequencer.

Would work the same for plugs. :D
I'm better than you. Deal with it.

How about CNtrl/right arrow? Up/Down to preview, CNtrl/right arrow to load. One could use one hand to do it all.

Edit: or just right arrow.

Yes! i was thinking "enter" but that plays the sequencer so yeah...if the browser is the focus, then enter loads the file. Perfect!

edit: oh wait......correction. I'd rather have the arrow key because sometimes i like to play/stop the song as i preview. Dpeneds on the situation... to switch focus with the mouse would be a bit of a pain.....so i'll stick with the arrow key idea. But i guess if others have opinions as well?

not sure - perhaps I want to preview, load and then start playback all without having to move the mouse... :?

I am sorry to report that, but the "old" "A>Z" browser issue is not fixed yet :(

Jorgen, can you add drag n drop of fxp/fxb files from the browser ?
drop on the gui (or the header as in v1)
drop to the plugin's insert slot in the mixer
and maybe even auto-load the plugin if it isn't loaded yet

?

drag/drop fxbs is already there. I've set up a pointer in my Presets section pointing to the fxps/fxbs.

As for auto-loading VST(i)s, is the VSt(i) identity encoded in the fxp/fxb? If so, great idea
