doesn't work in Reaper for me - loads but I can't make connections in the main area and when I try to start playback then Reaper crashes...

ok, I got the VST effect version running in reaper and fixed some distortion probs when running in Live.

I dont think reparer will call process unless there is something on the track(?)

Btw, can repaer run the VSTi version? how do you enter notes?

each track can be both audio and midi - you just have set the input and enable monitoring - intruments are loaded exactly the same way as effects in Reaper...

You can't have both plugin and standalone version in same folder. Opening plugin version in any host corrupts energyxt.ini, so you can't start the standalone again. Solution is deleting ini file...

As posted in another thread, the EXT2 VST doesn't make REAPER crash here, but there's still this (serious) problem:

After closing 'float FX' (EXT2 in floating window) the EXT2 VSTi should return to its docked location. However, EXT2's GUI disappears and I'm left with 127 CC sliders.

Clicking the UI button in REAPER's FX window doesn't help.

Only after removing and reloading the VSTi the EXT2 window reappears.

Alex, eXT has got some (partly strong) reminiscences to both Sonar and Logic but none to Reaper - it might very well be that Jorgen never had even just a single look at Reaper before - and perhaps he's not even interested in doing so...

I hope he'll be able to solve the disappearing GUI problem.... The EXT2 VST needs more space in REAPER than EXT1 because of the way all the VSTs/FX are vertically listed now in its browser. Which is a bit of a PITA, but there may be an option/workaround I didn't find yet.

edit 1/ now indeed when reloading the VST EXT2 made REAPER crash here as well.

edit 2/ note * - well... after thinking twice I guess he should look into REAPER at least a BIT simply because it's an ever more popular DAW and as such a host for the EXT1 and 2 VST versions... The praise of the EXT-REAPER combo has been sung by many already as you well know

Just tried it again. The VSTi loads fine, I loaded a Vsti inside EXT2, fine, then inserted an empty MIDI file on the REAPER track, fine, selected REAPER's virtual MIDI keyboard as input, fine again -

but when hitting the first note on that keyboard REAPER crashed. I suppose there'll be no difference when playing my good old Roland U20. (I'll report when that DOES make a difference).

Another issue with the VST version, again in REAPER. I suppose I should be able to load the EXT2 VST in full audio mode (audio in - vst/fx - audio out) in a REAPER FX chain. However it doesn't work... in the modular window EXT2 VST doesn't accept any audio in - vst/fx - audio out connection... it only accepts MIDI input.

Insta-crash when inserting the VSTi into SONAR 6.2

(in fact, that's the first time I've ever seen that error)

The GUI of the VST effect version appears when inserted into an FX slot, but then the same crash happens.

[edit - jorgen posted new DLLs at the same time as this post, need to re-check]
