I've been looking into getting an interface to start recording. I'm considering getting this edirol interface (http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Edirol-FA101-FireWire-Audio-Capture-Interface?sku=705369) I'm hoping some more seasoned recording veterans can tell me if this would be a good choice based on the specs and price, and if not, offer some better choices.

Thanks in advance for any help available :)

Hi and welcome to KVR. To give useful information people will need to know a few things about you. What's your situation -- what kinds instruments do you play, and how about vocals? Favorite musical genres? What kind of projects are you thinking of taking on? Lucky color? Sign of the zodiac? And like that.

Well I play guitar as well sax, keys and sing. I'm interested in recording various styles of music but i usually deal in electronic as well as funk and standard rock.

I want to start recording songs in a band setting as well as add vocal accompaniment to some electronic projects i've been working on lately.

Ontop of all that im on a fairly tight budget so i can't get very high end equipment.

Hope that will help as to the situation deal.
