Might have an inversely proportional effect on your productivity. You're actually composing and producing right now. Maybe that's not in spite of your limited setup (which looks pretty healthy to me!), but maybe because of it.

Of course, the absence of a significant-other can be a big boost to the musical output as well :-)

I've been wanting to post in this thread for ages and finally had the opportunity to take the following pix of my "studio"

That's an Alesis DM5 drum sound module and trigger kit and a Yamaha bass in there somewhere too.
No other hardware as I'm software based when it comes to synths & FX.
I built the speakers meself about 10 years ago. Their bass response moves mountains... :hihi:

what wave editor is that in the first screenshot?
Mbox 2, iMac Intel, Trigger finger, Logic Express, Ableton Live Lite, FL Studio

- Rode NT1 and some studio headphones I have collected over the years.

Left to do...
- Speaker stands are drying as we speak so I won't have to use books. Being painted black.
- Rode K2 hopefully arriving this week
- Room will be treated very soon
- Some more VSTis to add, hopefully Zebra (after it is bug fixed) and Sylenth1
- New PC to be built with LCD screen

- Possibly: Add UAD1s and/or Powercore DSP cards

I like my layout simple :) i.e. I'm jealous!

Cheers

The wurly would kill you first, when you try to take it to a gig.

try maintaingin a rhodes and wurlitzer(ESPECIALLY the WURLY its cantankerous and moody) for upwards of 8 years and you may feel different. Besides that, I am happy enough with MrTramp and MrRay that I didnt ever use them anymore. They arent midi, they were huge, Im having a baby soon and I dont have the room for all my shit like I used to. Im also selling my upright piano and the "rompler" will take its place. after a few days of ownership now, I can say that I find this to be one of the better music purchases I haver made in recent time. The sampler, sequencer, onboard efx, arpeggiator, and dbeam make it far more useful than either "vintage" unit. Its also got one of the best feeling keybeds Ive played. I sold of a keystation 88 pro as well and the difference is nite and day.

Anyway, Im not saying I wont miss the old keyboards, but they took alot of money, effort and room of mine for being a 1 trick pony.

Roland are one of the few manufacturers that know what good touch is. My RD600 is also a joy to play!

I tried the CME one at a store and hated it.
