Does anyone no or heard through the grapevine if Roland is going to make it usable for these to OS's or is Varios now totaly a dead stick? If so, I guess mine will be going on ebay...

Im just about to switch from pc to intel Imac and shocked to find there is no version for Intel mac or vista (even though it may still be early days for this).
Does anyone no or heard through the grapevine if Roland is going to make it usable for these to OS's or is Varios now totaly a dead stick? If so, I guess mine will be going on ebay...

they sold the last ones of real cheap recently - it was this kind of problem that stopped me fromg etting one

Strange though, its seems some music stores (here in the UK) are still selling them for £749. You would think for something that still is being sold and with that price tag, it would have the latest updates?? mmmm... Thanks Roland..not

VariOS was probably a commercial failure for Roland. This means no further support...
There are more hardware which was dumped because it didn't sell enough like Korg Oasys PCI cards.

dual boot means you can have dual: old and current operating system and choose which one to boot up with.

its kind of a shame about varios. I think that the main problem was the way it was launched. They didnt really explain what it was, only had a sampler/sequencer package available initially(which if you have a PC already, why do you need that?) and then the softsynths released for it were less than steller. I think it would have been a great success had they had more available for it(and preloaded, not extra cost!!!)
