sorry, haven't read it yet - will do when the current mixer-functions are fully usable... :hihi:

Without making it double-decker you get more room for the effects, more room for the eq (perhaps it will get modular later on) and you gain precision in the fader without holding a control_key.

brilliant idea, Darkstar! :-D :hail:
Aw shucks!

for mastering and mixing, i really need a db scale in figures with a comma beside the graphic bars on each channel :)

Ooh yes, +1 definitely.

A couple of other smallish things:
- move around the mixer by right-click and drag as you do in the sequencer
- maybe have the individual track names above the faders coloured like the comp names at the top.
It's a rave, Lewis!

I really want support for motorized faders on midi-controllers.

How do you record audio now? In the old eXT you could just double click on the audio out and get a recorder without having to even use the sequencer or mixer - where is that?

gone... :)

I want it back - its one of the things I use eXT for - a a quick recorder

Post

Why don't you just use a plugin like tapeit instead? :?

The reason it was there in eXT1.4 was that the sequencer's rendering-function didn't render comps/plugins which were loaded to the main area - however this is not the case anymore in XT2.

Jens, replacing one of the really cool features with third party payware doesn't make sense to me.
The recorder comp is just as needed today, for recording live noodlings when you're not using a sequencer. I still fill up the modular space with effects and play my guitar through it. How am I supposed to render that?

I didn't get any response on my post about AUX send to hardware, but I think I can put it here in the mixer FR thread:

There is no way to open or create a send (or insert, for that matter) that goes to hardware. This would be done by sending to an AUDIO OUT comp, bu I can't drag one of those to the SEND area in the mixer, or think of any other way of doing it.

The solution, of course, is to drag an eXT1 VST to the send area and route the audio to the AUDIO OUT in that one, but this seems like a cheesy workaround for a real problem.

request a realtime-mode for the rendering--function here:

XT2 is a lot about streamlining stuff which was scattered all over the place in eXT 1.x . :)
