sig - just upped the RAM to 3gb. ECC RAM is expensive, but sure is sweet with BFD. Thinking about getting a mic next, maybe I can find somebody that can sing (not me). Getting kinda impatient about m-audio vista drivers, but then half of it probably won't work in vista anyway.

I have two computers, but I pretty much just use my laptop (at the top of the picture) now that I have a "proper" audio interface (instead of onboard sound).

Computer tower: Athlon64 3200+, 2gb 2-2-2-7 OCZ ram, RAID of some variety, M-Audio Delta44.
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 9400, Core2 Duo 7200, 2gb Corsair Select RAM, using the Tascam US-144.

Software: EnergyXT, Audition 2, the Ohm Force range of effects, z3ta+, Whitenoise Additive, Vember Shortcircuit, Revitar 2, free VSTs which are too numerous to name. Probably a couple I'm missing.

Obviously, it is very much a personal hobbie and entirely software driven setup.

this is my ex-studio. moved out of there yesterday. if everything goes as planned, i am moving into a new built studio that i am building with a music producer.. a place where we share a recording room and a vocal room, and each have our own control room. it will be awesome

I'm building a computer right now, so no specs yet. It's a PC though...no mac for me.

I've gone from having loads of software to a minimal setup of:

Self build PC:Lian li aluminium tower with a recently upgraded msi mobo with am amd 64 3500+ processor,overclocked to 2.6ghz,1gb of ram and 1 120gb maxtor hd for program files and 160gb seagate hd for storage/backup.Goinbg to add a 160gb sata hd for samples etc.

Hardware:

1 korg microx workstation(my replacement for reason)

1 focusrite saffire le(if your in the market for a soundcard,check these out)

Ableton live(the host with the most )
