Edit: or just right arrow.

I would like to have a "favourites" option. A section where I can built my own VST or project directory. Maybe more of them depending on the things I want do do. This would just mean that within the browser one could create virtual folders and copy aliases of plugins or projects or xtc's.

Ok this is a big one so save it for later but I really really would like to save meta data for clips and presets so that I can catagorize them and search for "spooky" "FM" "sound effect".
think like NI has been doing with their synths and Kore lately.

I don't know NI Instruments that much but anyhow classification in categories would also for shure be great within energy.soma wrote:Ok this is a big one so save it for later but I really really would like to save meta data for clips and presets so that I can catagorize them and search for "spooky" "FM" "sound effect".

For me the momentary state of the browser is not really satisfying. I have hundreds of plugins of all kind in my VST folder and the search function is usefull but also a little bit long winded. I very much like the solution of the old browser with its "add to favourites" function.

It'd be nice to only search a particular directory, or search only for samples or plugins etc...

you currently can do that with giving the file ending (.wav, .dll, etc.)Mighty Pea wrote: search only for samples or plugins etc...

Still though, i suggested it to cut down on the search-time. I haven't used it in a while, but i keep thinking the plugin search was a lot faster in 1.4, and i blame it on my samples now being included in the search as well

Definitely +1.Former Pharaoh wrote:I posted this one a couple weeks back but it had no support. I agree this would make for a better organized browser.disturb wrote: 2.user assignable tabs and/or hard wired tabs for plugins/samples/projects etc
there are just too many things relying on the browser, it can't work smoothly with only one page.
Yeah, I'd kind of envisage a series of buttons across the top with either funky ideograms or maybe just labels for plugins, audio, projects, presets, clips etc, plus one for 'everything supported' plus one for 'everything'. And maybe the option to change what filetypes associate with each.
On a similar but less involved note, would it be possible to have different file types appear differently eg a colour code for audio, dll, fxp etc?
Oh and finally, while I'm in moon on a stick mode, how about having a right click -> hide option for streamlining what you can see, plus a "show hidden" button so you can see things to unhide them again. Or maybe right click -> hide (in this project) and right click -> hide (in all projects) or something.
It's a rave, Lewis!

FR: Audio pool - delete unused
in another thread, horn wrote:A wave or a rex file remains within the Audio pool. As far as I can see there's no way of deleting it. Because it seems that eXT2 saves the sliced rex files with the project this way a project file may become really fat if you try out different files for inspiration.

Like Ableton Live, would be cool if energyXT could read a folder of shortcuts to plugins and understand where they are. So people could re-organize VSTPlugins without any problem.

Several people have requested RX2 file preview
Also, the ability to specify the defualt width of the browser (in the Setup/Global window?). And a horizontal scroll bar.

RX2 files in the Audio Pool
At the moment, each slice in the RX2 file is listed.
How about just showing the filename as a "folder" in the Audio Pool, with an arrow in front of it. Clicking the arrow will open the folder showing all the slices in the RX2 file. Then you can select any slice.
Oh, you could also load the RX2 file by dragging its "folder" name from the Audio Pool
