Hey synthgeek,
Haven't seen you post one on here in a while that wasn't a remix. This sounds very developed (burning the midnight oil I see). Nice ambience and synth swells to start, then the slick power arp to push it towards the surface. I was listening to this earlier today, its a great piece of the puzzle (dog days) over all. This builds well. Disto beats and a lotta layers.
Do hear an AKAI synth? Just curious as i owned an akai ax60 for years and I hear that style of synth in your music a lot.
Anyways, i hope this finds you well, friend.

Thanks much, Jazzy! Heh, burning the midnight oil indeed- this day job thing's gotta go.Jazzyspoon wrote:Hey synthgeek,

Nope, though I have always lusted after one of those (money & opportunity never quite met up). If it's something you hear a lot, chances are it's either Xhip, Synth1, Oatmeal, CableGuys Curve, or my ESQ-1. All of those end up in at least 80% of what I do, and the rest has at least one of 'em. Lately I've been using SQ-8L instead of the real thing quite a bit, and since I got Wusikstation it's become one of my go-to toys as well (it's on 3 of the 5 tracks on Dog Days, and pretty much every remix I've done lately).Jazzyspoon wrote:Do hear an AKAI synth? Thanks again for the feedback, hope things are well with you too buddy!
