*bump*

"Only poetry or madness could do justice to the noises heard by Legrasse's men as they ploughed on through the black morass toward the red glare and muffled tom-toms. There are vocal qualities peculiar to men, and vocal qualities peculiar to beasts; and it is terrible to hear the one when the source should yield the other. Animal fury and orgiastic license here whipped themselves to daemoniac heights by howls and squawking ecstacies that tore and reverberated through those nighted woods like pestilential tempests from the gulfs of hell. Now and then the less organized ululation would cease, and from what seemed a well-drilled chorus of hoarse voices would rise in sing-song chant that hideous phrase or ritual:
Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn…

By the way, this track's entirely composed from a single chant recording courtesy of voidoid surrealist, so in effect, this is a collaboration track in which he's to blame for 50% of its Mordor..

Dammit, and I here I am at work using a computer without a soundcard! Gonna have to wait until I get home to hear it...wahhhh!

Very creepy! Takes me back to the early '70's when I found found an author way scarier than Poe. Thanks!

Cool - even if it did make me feel like I was being slowly digested by Satan. He was having a bad day too.

f**king SICK... Conjured up Lovecraftian images for sure.. That took me back to my formative years of drugs and being immersed in Lovecraft and other dark literature.. Well done...

And the vocal chants from Voidoid were equally good..

What am I some sort of Sickle fanboy? :nutter: :hihi:

And you had me looking up that f**king Body COunt song "there goes the neighborhood"!!!haha

:hihi:

Glad you liked it. A, *ahem* shorter version would have gone well between, say, some tracks on an early Obituary LP, eh?

I'm not so far from my roots after all.

Awesome stuff again. Man, you can do some crazy things with just one chant recording. Great stuff as always.

Great stuff, Donovan. As is Inert.

We need a Lovecraft tribute album around here. Maybe I should remix R'lyeh Sea Shanty.
An idiot on Set Theory:
"In some cases there is an object called red that contains everything that is red. In much the same way a pot is a plate."

Oh, this is working better for me.
Yum. I love the stretched monk. Quality pitch shifter...

I'm thrilled that you're back making music! :tu:

An imaginative kind of creepy, it's in a class all by itself.
I really like the source of inspiration, it shakes me from my numbness

Cheers
