Thanks for the suggestions. Especially the note priority is an important point. I will keep this in mind for the next updatesalvakorn wrote:Togu,
Since you are making so many great improvements, I wanted to make a few suggestions that I feel are important.
Change to last note priority polyphony - It seems the U-NO-60 is based on first note priority, which doesn't work well as soon as release times get long. Last note priorty is normal on almost every synth.
Increase polyphony beyond 6 voices - anything extra would be a welcome addition. Why live with the limitations of the past?![]()
DCO LFO depth is a little to strong, even on its lowest setting, the very first notch up from none. This makes it impossible to put a very slight vibrato in a preset.
Implement Manual LFO setting instead of the OFF setting now existing. This would be like a real Juno and allow use of a mod wheel/stick for bringing in LFO.

I am very favorable to keep the 6 notes polyphony limitation : i like to play pads with long release times, and let the 6th note fade away.

What sinkmusic means, I think, is that he likes to play pads but doesn't want to hit the CPU too hard with fading and usually inaudible notes. I agree, and I've said it before and I'll say it again: All developers should add a polyphony selector to their VSTi. I hate it when I can't really use a VSTi for a particular sound because it allows the polyphony to go to like 16 or 32, thus maxing out my CPU. "Why not just reduce the release-time?" Because I want the last note to trail-off on release.
I like how xhip does it: multiple mono modes, and then you can determine the polyphony. Freealpha is cool like that too, though it doesn't have a true mono mode. (1-poly isn't the same as real mono.)
I also like it when a synth has some indication of how many voices it's using, that way you can see if a patch is for some reason eating up resources. SQ8L does this, with it's "1/8" indicator.

it is hard to explain, it is something i hear when playing on the real thing : when you play quick notes with long sustain, after having played 6 notes, a new one will erase the first played due to the polyphony limitation.
It is obvious, logical, and seems to be al imitation, but i like it and use it in a musical way, so i'd like to keep it in the vsti domain

sinkmusic,
What you are describing is the difference between first note priority and last note priority. You prefer first note priority. All I am saying is a real Juno uses last note priority as do almost all synths, simply because even most people find it acceptable to rob from the oldest note rather than not hear a new note that is played at all. Maybe the option to choose which priority... You are right, that the advantage of limiting polyphony is less CPU useage. That is really the only upside to 6 voice, though.

Hello
First of all congratulation for your work.
My question : here in my sequencer (live) the synth doesn't seem to be velocity sensitive. I mean that if i press a key gently or harder the sound is still same volume. Is this normal ? or am i doing something wrong ?

the JUNO-60 hardware is not velocity sensitive.MaxxBass wrote:Hello

The U-No-60 has velocity as an option, but maybe the patches you are trying don't use it. Since the original hardware did not have it, many patches for the plugin don't use it either. It may also depend on how the patch is programmed. It's possible to have a patch that doesn't sound any different even after raising the Velocity Env slider.

Hello and thanks for reply.
In fact i had tried earlier versions of u-no and i thought it had velocity. Yesterday i updated to the last version and was surprised that velocity was not working. I even tried moving the velocity env slider without result.

Another suggestion if you don't mind Togu
Would it be possible to choose as well the synth to be monophonic or not? as there's no portamento (unless I'm blind &
) and I like to glide between notes.
Don't know about the real hardware though...
