Yes... I'm sorry about this, but we ended up losing almost an hour a day deleting spam postings...
Not sure entirely what was wrong, but presumably the captcha wasn't good enough :(

We are, however, working on renovating the site (to make it shiny and easy to get around), and I'm hopeful that we'll have a new forum up and running on the new site.
The old forum postings are archived somewhere too, so we can bring back all that good old company history :D

Maybe we'll run phpBB like KVR :D :D

I figure I have a couple weeks before I'll have to explain the credit card bill to my wife. Good thing Father's Day is Sunday.

JFN... you need to find something better to do with your time...

Go read a book.

Actually, I know a father who would take this any day over some stupid golf clubs, and I've pointed him in the direction of the demo. :D

Thanks for the info about the forum, just curious what happened. That's pretty lame! The internet is becoming like walking the streets of New York circa 1979...it's just a matter of statistical time before something bad happens to you. :(

Umm.. ever considered that your "worst settings" might be what I happen to like best about TBK3?

Also note that I made those examples within the first 10 minutes of testing TBK3 (or like the first examples which were within the first 3 minutes) so you should take em as such.. crazy experiments! :D

I tried to show off the color and action of the 'instant' mode compression on whatever sample loop that I could find on my hard drive first (and one that isn't copyrighted as I've made that one myself from scratch).

Anyhow, as you are so picky and fail to see the benefits TBK3 can bring maybe this other example demonstrates it a bit better? Check out the drums when the song gets "big", that's when TBK3 (2 instances in series, first one uses the 'slap' setting and the second crunches em with the 'instant' setting). Mind you, it's a quick little mix that needs much more work so don't get hung up on the "sound" too much.

Clip with 2xTBK3 on drumbus, first part of song is without TBK3, then at the break they are switched on (it should be quite obvious).

(make sure you listen LOUD to this clip..) :D

Cheers!

.. and it seems like TBK3 can actually be useful as a dynamics tool as well. Now who would have guessed that? Damn, this thing is actually working as a compressor! :hihi:

Ticking pad sound that gave me some problems in a mix as the transients where too "big" and blocky somehow. No amount of EQ helped so I slapped on a TBK3 with the "instant" setting and voila.. problem solved.

Ticking pad getting the TBK3 treatment. :D

come on, mate - both of the Sonalksis-guys have got an url in their signature and you just need to click it and then the thing jumps at you - you just need to click on -> 'Click here for more information about the TBK3 Über Compressor' and then on -> 'Download Evaluation'

it's not exactly rocket-science to find it...

...it took me most definitely much longer to type this as it would have taken you to look for it and find it yourself...
