Two more mp3 sound examples, courtesy of Synthesizer Patel who posted them over at synthmaker.com :)

I've also added these to the first post. Thanks Synthesizer Patel!

Tried it yesterday ...

Very nice 8)

I'd elaborate on the small things I'd like to see added but it turns out they were all mentioned in this thread already. I'll probably play with it more today and maybe I'll think of more stuff, and maybe make a demo tune.

sorry, stefan, but now I cannot render at all in FL7 and nothing has changed in my computer, nor any settings in FL. Playback is fine, but when I go to render, it hangs. After 5 minutes or so, the windows error box pops up, attributing the error to the fl plug wrapper. It is very odd. I made a project and rendered it yesterday but now it will not.

and I swear it was the greatest piece of music anyone has ever head, too. ever. :hihi:
..what goes around comes around..

Hmm why not post the little sample I made for the TBK3 thread here too. Listen to what some extreme analog style compression/distortion does to my tweaked Smackbox. mpc or wav.

Yeah, we're having some rendering issues with SM atm. Malc seems to be quite at it :) If the error persists if you remove everything but smackbox, please e-mail that FL project to me so that we can use it for reproducing the bug. Thanks.

You could of course just record it all in real-time and share it with us anyway.... :)

Nice distortion there in the end :)

If you still need extra beta testers: let me know. I'm always in for a drumsynth.
I'm a great fan of that compressor you made too!

Post

At the moment I'm all set, but I might need more testers later, when it gets harder to nail those issues and the feature-set has been locked :)

Cool that you like the compressor, I like it too. Lately I've used the EQ a _lot_ as a distortion plugin :)

Post

Stephan, any news about the improvements ?
I have some free time this week end... :)

Hi :)

I'm working on it. Had to do some GUI work too. Let me know what you think:

The control section bugs me out a bit... There's no good way to lay out five grouped knobs :)

And here's the list of current changes for the next release:
- per-sound pan
- room for 16 kits and kit-switcher (standard SM preset manager, but still)
- stutter-bugs fixed
- click on lower section of piano keys to trigger notes
- fixed buggy "shape" knob behaviour (sound got cut off if shape at its lowest setting)
- added velocity mod targets: filter cutoff, pitch env amount, volume
- gui layout changes

looks good :-)

the new features looks really good ! i can't wait to try it.

Maybe that putting the control section in a line instead of in a row ?
A little bit like that (it is ugly, very ugly like i did, but the picture explains the idea) :

And here's a small loop using the new kit that sounds less analogue, and, well, more like very early sample-based drum-machines :)

sinkmusic: lots of dead space there. I don't like dead space :)
