I don't think I want more features either actually. I will add multi-outs (there's room for it in the output section), but that is most likely about it.
When the number of features goes up, so does CPU usage, and ease of use goes down. I think smackbox is very close to what I want it to be now

Hey, the new layout is very nice, especially the grouping of the control section knobs, that triangle is great!
Also from the new bigger size comes a more professional look.
But I can't see the multiouts (I guess maybe later).
Also I'm curious how clappy will be the claps with the bugfree stutter.
I've made several programs for the plugin and also working on demo 'tunes', but I waited for the new build to make the more.
'Tunes', tuning, what about tuning (freq or note entering/displaying) possibility? That would be a nice feature. This plugin can make very musical melodic sounds too, so tuning of even drum sounds would be a great addition. I know MicroTonic has that function, but I find smackbox better than MicroTonic regarding sound possibility and diversity.

Yeah, I set it to quite a high length to make the "stutter" more obvious.

BTW, pay extra attention to the kick drum in the loop I posted on page 9. It doesn't sound that much like a "analogue styled" drum synth, does it?
And it ROCKS at high volumes, that kick!
Now I'm off for, well, some beering. Yes. It's a verb.

New version has been sent out to the beta testers!

Changes in version 050 from 040:
- per-sound pan
- multiple outputs (3 stereo outs), per-sound output selector
- room for 16 kits and kit-switcher (standard SM preset manager, but still)
- stutter-bugs fixed
- click on lower section of piano keys to trigger notes
- fixed buggy "shape" knob behaviour (sound got cut off if shape at its lowest setting)
- added velocity mod targets: filter cutoff, pitch env amount, volume
- gui layout changes
As usual, let me know of any issues!

first impression:
much improved
still something I miss is a mute button for each sound.

stefan, this is very nice indeed
I'll post my thoughts shortly. I'm posting from my PS3 now, which is definitely very fiddly.

This is what got me raving about Smackbox in the first place. It's so easy to use that oyu just dive in there and create your own sounds instead of staying in "preseturbia". On the other hand, you never stop tweeking and it all sounds good = never done, damn you Stefanstefancrs wrote: When the number of features goes up, so does CPU usage, and ease of use goes down.
