ok... for midi tracks controlling vsts, plugins can automate the fader if the track is selected or midi thru is on. this makes sense and i don't think it's a bug.

however, automating faders of audio tracks doesn't seem to work for me whether the track is selected or not. (that's what i thought the original bug was describing). maybe this is because the audio track doesn't have a midi input, or something...

i would also add that this bug hasn't been fixed yet:
*J1- Some VST's don't display their programs in a list. (Digital Fishphones for example)

insetpiz- yeah, you are right. I was tripping. Unless it happens only some times (?), you can't control "sequencer" audio tracks' faders with a vst.
That was the bug but before you couldn't do it at all.

Known issue.

Saving issues:
J1- Cannot open *.xt from windows. Must open files from inside XT!

I know that one. But with this latest build I can not even setup XT2 as the default program for XT files. I was trying to see if that issue you mentioned has been fixed. Now I can't add the eXT2 exe to the Windows "opens with" dialog.

I cannot open my "Raw REX" folder in the Clips section of the Browser.
I can select it happily in the Setup / Folders page. And the folder appears in the Browser, but when I click the expand arrow, it does not open. As you can see in the Explorer screenshot, there are several .rx2 files there.

I tried moving the folder to another location, but it still does not work.

make a folder in your rex folder, put all the rex files in the new folder, now you can see your rex files,

if you map the folder directly this happens,

jorgen knows about this so i suspect a fix soon

This is the Plugin programmers fault, I know because I got the same mistake in my older plugins.

This happen when you haven't implemented getProgramNameIndexed() where the SDK is telling you
to implement it.

Of course Jorgen can do it the old fashion way and pick each program at a time but then
we are back to compensate for others mistake....

On the program box topic a long name is not truncated to fit within the box, instead it is
written over the arrows to the right of the plugin program box.

some of my favorite old bugs that i don't see on the list...

Envelope lane:
- After resizing a clip to the left, you can't drag existing envelope points past the original start of the clip, until you create another point to the left of it.

Comps view:
- Adding an audio out comp creates a random cable to nowhere.
- Dragging to make a connection always uses the first input.
- Ctrl-clicking on a comp creates a copy of it in the same location, so it's invisible.

I haven't programmed a host but couldn't you nestle the "one at a time" algo rhythm in a case statement so that it is only called if getProgramNameIndexed() returns null or an error code or what ever a vst taht hasn't done it right would return.
