I'm trying to create a live setup where I can control the length of 4 seperate segments that play continously. I want to be able to control the length each segment with a MIDI controller.
Segment A (clicky noise)
Segment B (squishy noise)
Segment C (splashy noise)
Segment D (crunchy noise)
So say I turn a knob and set segment A to only play for 1/4 a bar. Once that 1/4 is over it goes right into segment B. I set segment B to 2 bars. After 2 bars, it goes into C. So it loops between each segment and plays the segment for a certain amount of time before going into the next segment. I tried doing this in Live, only problem is I cant control the MIDI Clip length with a MIDI controller.
complex setup

Can you select clips with a midi controller??
Then you can create clips of different lengths, and chose between them

We are the KVR collective. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.

The sequence will always be the same. A,B,C,D. I need to be able to change the duration of each part of the sequence. Like make A shorter, or B longer. All I need is to be able to connect the Follow Action in the Launch part of each MIDI clip to a MIDI knob, but for some reason ableton thought this would be useless?
