How to make that sound...

I've been asked to recreate a track, and I think that the keyboard sound being used for the comping will really make it sound authentic. Here's a link to the intro:

Can any one point me in the right direction for that keyboard sound?

You mean the organ-like one or the pad-like?
The organ sounds like a synth imitation of an organ, maybe FM?
Here is what I would try first: downloading a bunch of DX7 keyboard/organ patch sets and loading them into Hexter. Hopefully you'll find a similar sound.

Isn't that a layered sound? Sounds like an organ-synth on the top velocities (with delay) and a pad with the decaying filter on it for the "wah" effect.

Interesting thoughts. I am talking about the comping instrument - I guess you could descibe it as the pad-like one. I can hear the organ in the background as well.

I was wondering if maybe it was some sort of a flanged keyboard patch - it definitely opens up when the notes are held out.

On a side note, I didn't know Hexter was available for Windows. I'd only ever herad of it for Linux. I'll have to loook into that.

Tonight I'll cut out another section that maybe shows off the sound a little better than the intro.
