Ok, review time:

Smackbox rox, as it produces some unbelievable results. I have about 200 megs of samples/loops so far and will release a 1 gig library of smackbox created audio in the near future.

Problems:

1. SmackBox takes about 30 seconds to load inside of Live 5.2

Thats all the problems I've encountered so far on this new version. The EXE starts up also in about 30 seconds or so. I had glitching and random pauses in the previous version which are now gone. Thanks for that stefan! Also, I held all keys throughtout a pattern and got a MAX of 16% CPU. I can deal with that, especially with how it sounds.

No other problems so far. Thanks,

The loading time is a weird one, it loads in about 3 seconds here (which I think is ok), otoh you have a much lower CPU usage than me, so maybe you win?

What kind of CPU do you have?

using my AMD 64 3500 + on this. It may be due to the number of plugs i'm using though. let me check it out on a clean pc and I'll let u know.

Hi Stefan:
just a bit of feedback to ping the thread.
I really like the new update; I like the effort not to be bloated, and I love the sound.
So far, no glitches in the latest release - but I haven't rendered yet.
For the first version, I removed all the other plugs in the project (not fx, though, just vsti) and it did render again in FL7.
I will report back about version 2.

Anyways, here's a little loop fvrom the project

There are probably still rendering issues (at least when doing automation) , will have a bug fix for this in the next release.

Your loop is wicked!

Now I will be going on a two week holiday to Los Angeles and Vegas though

The new version crashed my FL Studio 7 while I was playing around with the stutter control while playing a pattern. I'm pretty sure smackbox was the only thing loaded (no fx or other synths) when it happened.

Stefan, I did some work with the last beta, the improvments are really nice. One problem (maybe SM related) : it is not recognized in Sonar 6.

edit : not only SM - Anna is not recognized, Crystal, and many others, I wonder why.
