a hardware item I would like would be a little box that would hold several synth roms, like the Proteus 2000 could, with midi ports to connect to portable midi controllers that lack built-in sounds, with a battery holder for power, and a multi-position switch to choose roms, eliminating a filesystem at that end...for example, emu xboard has battery slots, and midi ports, controller knobs,
but no sound without a computer. One could could velcro or sticky-tape two such rom boxes beneath a keyboard, like feet (one could even be empty, just there for balance), synths could go in some in-built memory, or perhaps a usb 2.0 slot, or flash-memory reader for all those cheap keys and camera chips folks have laying around...might be a big seller? I'll try hyperwave and axx2, alpha2 and microm in Reaper later on, thanx for sharing your products!

I agree....you ARE an outstanding synthbuilder but, more to the point,
you are an outstanding human. Assholism
is rampant in our culture these days
and it seems like very few us recognize
it as character flaw in ourselves.
Fewer still make a concious effort to

Hey Tom, some of these are quite nice!!! I don't know about assism, alleged or real, but I know for a fact that you are not only talented -- some of these synths have a lovely sense of space -- but actually very generous as well. Thanks very much for that, my toolkit has been enriched.

no, you're thinking of assaholism. assholism (without the extra a) is a quasi-religion which deifies the anus. They go to m'ass on thursday evenings, and worship at the shrine of the great puckered poop-shoot.
Recently though, a radicalized form of assholism has been spreading. f**king assholes, followers of this extremist sect, have been planning suicide attacks on manufacturers and distributers of suppositories and home enema kits. they consider defiling the almighty sphincter an offense against the one true god. Refering to themselves as 'hole'y warriers, they have pledged to rid the globe of these 'tools of satan'.
