wow thanks for the teaser on the Tau Pro update Dave! And just a couple of hours ago I thought my waiting for new Tau stuff was over for a while...
and for the record I'm a happy Tau Pro owner who can testify that Tau Mk.II occupies a very different place in my VSTi arsenal than the former... quite different beasts actually. Now just a few more hours till I can replace this Mk. II with one that doesn't puke that noise at me... .hurry dave, hurry.....
Thanks for the great products and the unbelievable prices!
oh yeah, any 'teasers' on upgrade costs for current Tau Pro users when it comes out rebranded? I can't wait to hear the 2X Osc oversampling in TauPro

I notice you cannot buy Tau 2 and Tau Pro on the same order. Do you plan to create a package? I'm sure you end up paying two service fees when people have to order each seperately.

All I need to be happy is one more VSTi.

Our beta testers, all real 303 owners and enthusiasts, struggled pretty hard to find anything obvious though...
Ok i give up, if you (and they) are satisfied with the emulation, its ok.
I sended an audio example to a friend, he replied, saying he only needed one second to realise its not a real one.
You should change beta testers lol

Clearly, there is a very simple explanation for all of these wildly differing opinions.I sended an audio example to a friend, he replied, saying he only needed one second to realise its not a real one.
And here it is: during the original manufacturing run of the 303, Roland employees were feeling fanciful. And who could blame them; it was a beautiful and balmy April day. And the cherry blossoms were in full and glorious bloom. On a whim, they decided to change the internals of every single 303 they shipped, making some sound like a bass clarinet, some like a trombone, some like cackling chickens, etc.
No wonder so many experienced users have such difficulty coming to agreement on what constitutes "the sound".

Right, I tried the demo last night, pretty good.
Ordered it this morning without a second thought, I mean for £10 what do I have to lose? (apart from £10 maybe).
Of course, for £10 I expect an exact replica of a TB-303 or I'm off to trading standards. £10 is a lot of money, let's see what else I could buy - 1+1/2 cinema tickets or two packs of ciggies or 4 pints of lager etc etc, - Dave, do you see just quite how much money I've got riding on this?
Bring it on...

It'll be a free upgrade. But...Tau Pro already HAS 2x Osc oversampling. However, its wavetables are much smaller - we'll be replacing them with 8192-point ones like those in Tau2 if we can squeeze them in there along with the five new waveformsoh yeah, any 'teasers' on upgrade costs for current Tau Pro users when it comes out rebranded? I can't wait to hear the 2X Osc oversampling in TauPro

I'm currently drowning under a seemingly unstoppable flood of "undeliverable-mail" messages. You'd be amazed how many people buy something from us, change their email address, and don't let us knowget checking those credit cards and sending that tau2 out !!!
Cheers

Afraid not. We don't accept Paypal - you can use your credit card online at our own secure online shop (powered by Worldpay Plc, a very large and highly respected eCommerce company) or you can contact us for details of manual payments (bank transfer, cheque etc.).once again.. will i be able to buy using paypal?
Kind regards

Sorry to be even more official, but we can only really accept payments in sterling by bank transfer or cheque drawn on a UK bank. The post office doesn't generally advise sending cash through the post either.if i put 20 euro in a envelope
You can send us a pictures of the windmills though, probably quite soothing after all the loud acid techno we've been listening to over here.
If anyone else is finding this topic a bit stressful, don't forget that there are kittens a bit further down the page
Regards
Dave
PS - does anyone want to hear Tau2 being used in anger? I've got a wicked MP3 here or two....
