Can anyone point me to a commercial high quality synth sample collection, where the analog-ness drips out of my speakers ? :D

It seems like the latest releases are all geared towards orchestral, guitar and dance sounds. :( I'm looking for raw analog synth sounds.

Thanks,

Peter.

Nostalgia or Analogue Sequencer Loops perhaps? (both from Zero-G)
***************************
Truly mind-boggling music! - New album out! - And a blog!

Nostalgia looks nice. Too bad it's still powered by 'the state-of-the-art' (quote Zero-G) Kompakt engine. I absolutely don't like the patch browser on that one.

Are there any new libraries that use the latest Kontakt2 player ?

You can download ASL in .wav and .nki formats from Zero G themselves.

I bought VAZ 2010 from TTOZ (who else? :hihi: ) several years ago. Sounds good but I never really got into programming it.

I'm looking more for lots of good multi-sampled sounds from different analog synths that I can use right out of the box. Something like Nostalgia, but with a different engine.

I was going to mention Sonik Synth 2 as well. Analog greats plus lots of extra bits and bobs you can combine to make interesting schtuff.

I have Sonic Synth 1 (one of my first VSTi's) but it's not even on my pc anymore. Tells enough of what I think about it.

SS2 is a LOT bigger and better but if you really disliked 1 then 2 probably won't thrill you either.

Me, I usually reach first for a VA so I can tweak everything. But SS2 comes through for me when I just want to get classic sounds without playing patchcords-and-knobs for too long.

Well that's a pity, because it is so darn easy to program.
I often start from scratch if i have a sound inside my head i want for a project and normally i get what i want really fast.
But hey.... i'm am also a synth programmer nerd i must admit :-)

Hang 5 for a bit, my product is nearly ready :) I've finished all the sampling and preset making, and the artwork has been finished by Zero-G, and I've sent the final dvd master to Zero-G today after a year and a half of obsessive sampling :)

19,800 samples all looped and hand cut etc
4.1 gb of samples
790 presets with a full synthesis engine powered by Kontakt 2 player which includes:

amp: A D S R, Velocity to amp amount, Amp ADSR amount, Lfo rate, lfo delay, lfo amount,Filter A D S R, Frequency, Resonance and Filter envelope amount.

I've sampled in most presets every key of the analog synths so as to avoid ANY aliasing. And loops to get that analog randomness in the mix :)

All presets have either/and mod wheel and aftertouch assigned to what I felt to be the most useful of realtime destinations depending on the preset.

This is not another "Rompler" this is a synth in itself with all analog oscilators coming from:

MiniMoog Model D
Welsh Moog with Pwm mod fitted
Studio electronics SE-1X
Studio Electronics SE-1
Yamaha CS-30
Yamaha CS-15
Yamaha CS-5
Roland SH-101
Korg MS-20
Korg Mono Poly
Home made Phaser (stereo) based on the Modded Small Stone as used by Jarre
Crumar Multiman
Akai AX-73

The only digital synth that got a look in was the digital/analog Hybrid the Ensoniq Esq-1.

It certainly looks like it would suit your music from looking at your web page :) I wanted to keep the dirt and grit of analogs but with a moderrn slant on the programing. Where possible I've kept the real filter of the synths using velocity or mod wheel to sample start. It's suited to the electronic genre and there is not one filler in any of the presets. It's designed for making your own presets, but the 790 I've included are pretty damn good he he.

I'm a musician compose before anything else and started this project off for myself, but was talked into a release by my other producer mates. You are welcome to mail me at megablastic@gmail.com and I can email you some of the audio demos I'm working on with it at the moment :)

Um, didn't Zero G have a falling out with NI? Which is why their old Kontakt player linked libraries are starting to be offered as downloads, instead of updating any new material to K2? :?

So am I normaly, but I've now come in a phase again were I want to make songs instead of sounds (I seem to have these phases in my life  ) and I dare say that I sometimes get inspired more by other people's sounds than from my own sounds.

I thought it sounded a bit 'thin'. Maybe I got used to hearing samples play back from my good old EPS16+ (RIP): grainy and fat.
