That pattonfreak fellow would probably do it but he just announced he's going on vacation tomorrow.
Pattonfreak fellow ?? ;-)

If you play the guitar perhaps you can add a guitar solo .. it's possible to stretch the last chorus (8 bars) ... I add another 8 bars or 16 bars and you can widdle like hell ! ;-)

Hello drumity and nice to meet you. I dont think I'd be very good for this and I'm not sure why Dopebag refered me to you. Click my sig and listen to a couple of my songs and if you think I could do a service for you, then let me know and I'll give it a go. :tu:

Nice to meet you 2 ! ;-)
I heard your songs on myspace and I think you can try it and let it rock ! :)
Perhaps like in "El Rey Da Muerte" the verses with that filter vox and the chorus a bit heavier !
What concerns the lyrics it's your own choice and give ya best ! ;-)

I like the idea to have several styles and interpretations of the song ! This will be a killer birthday present ! :D
Thxx dude ! ;-)

Don't worry I can handle it ! ;-)

As written it's ok when I have the several versions at beginning of july !
I have to design a cover, booklet etc., so I think that's ok !

If you like I can stretch the song ... expand the verses (from 8 to 12 bars + 4 bars pre-chorus =16 bars) or double the chorus (from 4 to 8 bars) etc.
Perhaps tomorrow I have a little session with the guitarist again to expand the extro !
He said he has a lot if ideas, so I want to play on his enthusiasm ;-)

But if the song structure is ok for you just give a shot :D

Hey Alahnee !
I would say you just can take ya time to get better ! The birthday is in mid july .. so it's enough time to become fit and fire it up ! ;-)

Get well soon!

Hey guys !

Now it's end of june and it's time to know who's gonna sing on the tune !
The birthday is in mid july and I wanna design an artwork for the cd with names, pix (who agree with it) etc.

So it would be cool if the guys who had sing a part or will sing a part, let me know the state of their creativity !
So don't leave me in the lurch ! ;-)

Guess just nobody's been doing any vocals at all yet.

Hmm ... Alahnee gave me a draft a few days before ... but apart from him many guys were stocked to sing and unfortunately I didn't hear anything about it yet !

Once again I wanna point out that any version is very welcome and would be part of the birthday-cd ... and if there are 3 or 4 guys with different voices and interpretations it would be even better ! ;-)

Have a nice day

In all honesty, I gave it a shot twice already about a week ago...the verses weren't too bad, but I got frustrated trying throw a good vocal hook over the chorus...I found it hard to use much of a melody, and I was avoiding trying to go for an aggressive, extreme metal-type vocal instead of a catchy hook. My vocals can be really off the wall sometimes just as pattonfreak's can...he's a Patton fan, though I'm quite the modern Ulver fan, so my tastes are just as out in left field as his in a sense.

Hey verspers75,

perhaps you can try it in the same rythm like the guitarist played the chorus !
It's an eight note followed by two sixteenth notes ==>
1 a and a ... 2 a and a ... 3 a and a ... 4 a and a

As an additional idea you could try a polyrythm like two sixteenth notes followed by one eight note ... or a combination of both .. this would fit also !

So try to form the lyrics around this rythm(s) and you will be in tune ! ;-)

But apart from that you shouldn't have to be too much in the stereotypes !
Perhaps your interpretation over this staccato rythm will give the special flair to it :-)

Rock it !

It wasn't the rhythm or timing that was a problem for me....it was finding a catchy vocal melody that interacted well the guitar's chord changes. If the vocal need only be be rhythmic, it would be easy to do an FSU'd rhythmic chorus. It would also be fun to do an experimental remix of the entire track.
