Huh... just lost this project

(((
xt2 stopped loading with the following message: "openProject error: loading block 'insert2' (5977)"

I can't open the previous versions too. Same error.

Maybe it's some clue, but xt2 was crashing on exit while working on that track last few days.

Weird.... KVR broke too, while I was trying to post this message... I hate Thursdays

This happened to me as well but i managed to load the song on subsequent releases. I am guessing it was my CAmelphat plug because this only happened to songs that had Camelphat in it. On occasion, XT would crash when loading Camelphat.
Lately, it hasn't happened though.

Someone else reported the same error, any chance I can debug the project file so I can fix asap.

So... I've started removing all insert effects that I was able to recall from my VST directory.
It turned out that Atlantis Filter was causing the crash. The project opened and I tried to save it with another name, but I was getting "There was an error saving xxxxx".

Fortunately when I removed the Atlantis Filter from the insert slot everything went fine.

Hmm... Jorgen, maybe it's a good idea to auto remove those missing vst's? Or at least show a proper message when trying to save such a file?

Anyway - thanx for the quick reaction, really. And if you still want the project - no problem - just pm me.

Seriously... these Thursdays will kill me... how it stopped working out of the blue?

I've had a similar openproject crash. I could circumvent it by starting a clean xt2 session, loading another song, and then load the "crashing" song into xt2.

(When I get home I can probably check too see if the fix and error is still there)

i lost a song a little while ago. i moved my plugins folder and when i opened the project, all i saw were midi channels but no plugins atached to them. does anybody know why this happened?

- XT2 looks in your nominated VST folder(s) for the plugins.

So if you move the folder, you have to delete the old pointer in the Setup/Folders/plugins window and select the new folder.

EXT2 and Camel Audio do not get along too well with each other

I have this happen with almost every project the uses camel audio software so I have stopped using them in XT2 until this gets fixed

I have had the same problem with Camel Space and Linplug Alpha V3.

Definately seems like something going on with the Camel stuff: although no problems with Cameleon ... so far!

i just started a project with camlephat in it...might wanna go remove that now

perhaps a thread on vst's that dont get along with XT2 very well is in order ???

Thanx. It's the first track that I'm working on since my pc was stolen in January. It's only free VSTs.

All in all the track is saved, but XT2 still crashes when I close the project.

Do you have a drum-track in it?
If you built your own drum-kit by dragging samples onto the pads of the opened drum-editor,
chance are high you get a crash on closing...
