Rendering edits with hardware effects

I'm wondering if it's normal to have to render edits - where hardware-effects are used - with a plugin like tapeit. In Tracktion the reverb (i have a Behringer V-Verb pro, all set up and working in real-time) isn't included in the rendered file. Am i doing something wrong or is this just how it's done?

When rendering everything is kept in the box. So if your project includes hardware effects I'd record them on a seperate audio track:
Original track -> audio output -> hardware effect -> audio input -> new track put on record.
Original track -> audio output -> hardware effect -> audio input -> new track put on record.

Thanks for that. I was afraid it would work that way. I have to say that the V-Verb is worth it.BertKoor wrote:When rendering everything is kept in the box. So if your project includes hardware effects I'd record them on a seperate audio track:
