I just posted a rough mix of this for Pough in the M-Drive thread, then figured that a lot of people wouldn't spot it tucked away down there.

http://www.muon-software.com/temp/tau_attacks.mp3 is a cover version of Loki's "London Acid City" which I did using 4x Tau2, 1x Tau Pro and 1x SR202 and lots of M-Drive.

So have I, but with intermittent noise due to it being a demo

However, I've just ordered (Had to scrounge a credit card from my mum - Don't anybody ever say that being young is good

) so it won't be long until I have some demo tunes of my own.

Also, is M-Drive having a problem in FLS 4.12? The knobs don't have that much of an effect (more in line with 'volume' than 'distortion') unless you put them both at full left, in which case its uberdistortion beyond the realms of pleasurable. I haven't tested in other apps though so it might just be me.

The way to use M-Drive is pretty much to stick the Threshold control at just above zero (so the whole waveform is effected) and set the clipshape to about 50%. This works best with Tau2.

. My method of experimentation is 'f**k about with the knobs until you get something decent'. I must've bypassed that configuration.

The easiest thing to do, if you're after a distorted sound, is to set the threshold almost as low as it will go, and leave it there. Then muck about with the clipshape parameter until you get the exact distortion you want.

If you want more subtle "tube-warming" type effects (or even "torn cone"!) then increase the threshold control.
