...one of us will look a bit stupid in the end - I hope it won't be me. :)

The reasons why thought it would be Albino are: 1. Nico posted in some feature request thread in the Linplug forum that he is working on something new for Albino, 2. the latest Linplug newsletter indicated that there will be a new Albino soundset, 3. the presets sound similar to the first Albino soundset - but I guess, he has taken the whole thing a bit further with some heavy usage of the layering capabilities of Albino 3...

I don't think it's any NI synth (although I would love to have some BT presets for for my NI synths), since I think, Nico once said that he doesn't like their general sound...

So - I am right and most of you are wrong! :troll:

(at least I hope )

Good point about the layering; I had forgotten about that feature!

Well, that "there is coming a new soundset" is not for Albino this time... It's for an other Synth Nico, Marco and me are working on...!!

1) That there are too many synths that sound alike because their feature sets are mostly identical.
2) That people are going to be familiar with synths they own and think it sounds like theirs.

If we took a look far far back in time i would think that human kind has always been facinated by sound.

Imagine you taking a dump in the forest and you hear a big ROAR!! Now what could it be ?

or perhaps cave dwellers sat in caves and listen to other tribes drumming trying to figure out if they
used human bones for drumming or wooden sticks :)

ok i'll finish with posting all of the availlable mp3 demos, as usual, first post of the thread ...
monday evenig or so i will tell you what it is ...
allthough some of you already were near ... :)

btw: whatever plugin it is, there's _no_ layering in the demo's, just one patch after the other ... no multi's, no external fx, just one instance of the plugin per sound ...

have fun listening ...!

...but is it possible to layer within the synth?

I am.

but what the heck is the synth? :hyper:

this lot is possibly the single best collection of presets I've heard to date. you're one exceptionally talented fella.

(my guess is zebra at a reasonably high sample rate)

Post

With regards to Zebra, If this bank isn't for it, please consider making a bank for it. I know I'd purchase it. (I've purchased 3 bigtone sets for Vanguard and enjoyed your work for z3ta+.)

Whatever synth it is it would make sense for it to be. 1) something Brok enjoys using and is flexible enough to generate the sounds Brok wants without too much fuss, 2) it needs to have a decent sized user-base out there.

The sounds are without question superb.
