Does that mean that even if I only own Vox'd as part of the TSW Pro package I still get the TSW Pro discount on Ethnotronics? That would be amazing.

Does ethnoctronics contain everything that is in the TSL library + the new content? Or is the content different? If it is different it might be good to buy the TSL library and then take the free upgrade.

So does anyone have this yet? If so how does it sound? The webpage is still not working. You can get to the choose payment page but there are no payment choices options and can go no further.

If you guys need my help, I am a web designer and coder. I will be happy to help you get ethnotronics up and running. Feel free to PM me.

I just received the soundset upgrade from TSL Ethnic & Folk to Ethnotronics (don't have the cool skin yet).

A quick analysis based on soundset filenames:
- TSL Ethnic & Folk has 544 .wusiksnd files, of which 229 are *NOT* in Ethnotronics.
- Ethnotronics has 440 .wusiksnd files, of which 125 are *NOT* in TSL Ethnic & Folk

So it looks like the TSL Ethnic & Folk upgrade path is a good deal :D

Would be if the page actually I worked. I gave up and purchased another product that will hopefully arrive on Friday. I realize in the grand scheme of things loosing one sale to a non working page is probably not a big deal. But really if you are going to say something is released ad available one should actually be able to buy it.

It just means that TSL Ethnic and Folk does not seem to be a strict subset of Ethnotronics, which was shadoe42's question (I thought).

Now looking closer at the list of sounds I have in TSL Ethnic and Folk not in Ethnotronics, it raises some questions. Some TSL only sounds are phrases or variations that one would expect to see in Ethnotronics Pro or even XL, but not in Ethnotronics (that's the case for instance for ACC.PHRASES or PANFLUTLICKS).

However I had understood that Darbuka and Oud were supposed to be in Ethnotronics according to the original post, but I can't find them... :?

Ah, interesting. With me, 'no oud' means 'no sale, dude.' I'll just get by with Safwan Matni's very convincing freebie...

Unless the presets are absolutely fantastic -- someone's going to tell us one way or the other, correct? -- it could be that this product has missed the boat with me. I have a huge number of good quality samples in various formats that I can ESC convert into WusikSND if I want to create a custom ethnic soundbank. And maybe that's what I should be doing; that and adding some presets of my own.

 It's a Martha Stewart moment...why buy things you can make?

I wanted it for the pipes and whistle but like I said ended up buying a different product.

heh speaking of sounds I am in the process of making some irish whistle samples for Wusik.

I have sampled a celtic whistle and peruvian pan flute for one of the 1st two wusik sound magazines - they are in wusik format and sound pretty good!

I have those. They are okay. The pan flute is nice. hehe but we are deviating from the topic :)

The Oud is only in TSL Ethnic & Folk as far as I can see. The Mandolin and Buzouki are in both libraries, and have a few more variations than the Oud.

I am sure Julia will clarify whether and where we can expect the Oud in Ethnotronics.

Antoine.

Very happy to see this out !
Congratulations !

I'm a sucker for ethnic sounds. Already have RA, Wusik's Mistral, plus two Roland ethnic soundlibraries, so call me crazy, but I might be buying this as well.

One thing though, nobody has every sampled Indian Swaramandala, one of the most beautiful harp-like sounds on the planet. :x :)
It's a real pain in the posterior to tune up , so a sampled one would be very helpful.
