hey
don't worry, it's a very good idea - but i just got my computer back last night, so i haven't had any time to get on this. I will check it out though, probably get on something tomorrow afternoon.
also, keep in mind it is summertime in the northern hemisphere, where most of the SE group and KVR synthediters live; lots of stuff to do outside, lots of people going for vacations. I think that this will grow, but it might be slow for these couple of months.
cheers

Ok, added the missing pics and finally updated thos damned modules.
I updated the file too by implementing my cheapo tone drum synth, which is able to emulate all vl tone sounds if tweaked correctly (only the snare can't be 100% accurate).
this drum synth is almost usable already.
http://mokafix.chez-alice.fr/vst/SE_modules/seq5.rar
I also output a dll for the non-SE-devs who are interested in the project and want to see what it'll be like.
http://mokafix.chez-alice.fr/vst/SE_mod ... laDrum.rar
It has 4 outputs.
it's still in progress, so excuse the mess.
I wanted to give this project a good start so that anyone interested can add his own stuff in it.
The effects and envelopes screen are still to be done; i'll try maybe this week.
Envelopes will be : 1 adsr for each pad effect, + some 16 or 32 steps pattern envelopes that will follow the tempo (maybe 4 envelopes). They will have their own icon on top, like pad FXs, so that one can drag them to the knobs he/she wants.
BTW, I didn't put any assignable knob in the drum synths themselves, but you can easily do it in your own creation.
I was just lazy and thought the GUI was a bit tight already
It would need to make 4 FX back grounds for the small size knobs too..

ok, fixed.
My mistake.
I add stuf and forget the GUI, because they are from tatapoum, and so don't appear on top when I sort by date.
fixed ms to voltage too.

Thanks!
I studied graphic design (That's the reason why i tried synthedit in the first place), and each time i make a vsti, i have to force myself not to begin by doing the GUI
This plugin being a work in progress, it was not necessary to make a GUI too soon, but I couldn't resist.
And anyway, some features were asking for it (drag and drop automation), and it also makes it easier for anyone to implement his own stuff in it.
I hope this thing will grow, and 20 years later, when it is such a standard, we will be proud to say to our kids "we were the first collaborators."
BTW, as you may notice, the 2 current synth engines available have different background colors. At first I wanted them all white, but it was a bit messy. I think it is better if each element has its proper color and name; makes it much easier to navigate through.
I really love the drag and drop automation. It works so well, I'm a bit proud of myself, I must confess
The envelopes edition screen will really make it even better.
PS: I updated the file this morning: the pan was inverted due to my bedroom wrong speaker positioning...
i also added a global pitch knob.
It's set to +-2 octaves.

suggestion : make knobs, labels etc on a transparency background (+1% black), addMokafix wrote: BTW, as you may notice, the 2 current synth engines available have different background colors. a /subcontrol/Tinted Bitmap Image with a white background only
driven by the DH_HSxToRGB.

I love Mini-Mokes!Mokafix wrote:I was thinking of "Moka Colla" (or Moke)

Full size. You really should pinch that tagline and advertising style!
It's also an old english word for Donkey and it's a slang term used to describe certain South Pacific islanders (see Wiki).

That's a really cool car. In france we had the "citroën mehari" and "renault rodeo".
BTW, I updated the file.
I made 3 screens: drums, effects, envelopes.
There are 4 pad gate fx+flam, and 4 pattern envelopes.
The drag and drop has been updated too.
The FX section is really a draft. there's a reverb, a bitcrusher, and now a filter. I put automatable knobs in the filter, to show ho w you can use the enveloppes on anything.
Though i think I should remove pad fx as a choice for those ones...
I don't know exactly how to set the fx section. I though about 4 send channels, each being a chain of FXs.
But I have no personal FXs to put in yet.

Just added a new synth to it. It produces some 8 bit games like sounds.

when i try to load seq6 i get ...
'can't load module dehaupt midi message mapper'
'....dehaupt DH_HLStoRGB 1.0+'
i was just looking for a simple sequencer (maybe even just 1 simple pattern) to make a shaker plugin using samples from my boys creations from school,i'm not sure how to tackle it yet.
i'm probly not much help to your project really,it sounds cool, but looking at your seq was way over my head.

I updated the file.
You might miss some modules :
http://www.dehaupt.com/SynthEdit/DH_BasicModulePak.htm
maybe midi munger... (There's no midi mapper module afaik).
DH_HLStoRGB 1.0+ is part of DH pack#4 (I used it to set some GUI colors, so it's not necessary in fact).
If you want, I can make you a SE1 file with just the sequencer, or even just one pattern and a midi output.
