Ok guys, thank you for all this enthousiastic comments ! It gives me force to continue the developpement !:oops:
Actually I have two problems with the Vst Loader pattern:
* the name of the vst path could create error: if your dll filename contains numbers or capital letters, the program are not able to find the file.
* if you've succeed to load the vst, the program calls some function of the plug-in (setparameters, setProgram, setProgramName,...), and these functions don't allways exist...
Moreover, the long time waiting the loading come from the Qt display pattern, but I will try to improve the data gived to Qt in order to reduce this time.
@novaflash: reinventing the wheel, yes of course ! but it's only the beginning of this tool and maybe in the future, it will create some original patterns to generate preset, totally different from other vst host (am I dreaming ? ).

0.2.1: new release, the program can load all the VST plugins (dll files) !
Slowly, I'm fixing every bugs...
http://sourceforge.net/projects/vst-preset-gen/
* v0.2.1 - 25 June 2007
- Can load !!!ALL!!! VST plugins, thanks to
the Qt's class QLibrary
- Remember only the last file directory,
without the filename.
- the name of the generated programs are changed from
"Vst Preset Generator #" to "VPG #"
it's more readable in the audio host
- When you load the plug-in, the name of
each parameter is read
- Add menu "Import"
Enjoy, and thank you for testing !

Hi Selfik !
Thank you for the great comments (I hope you're not joking
)
If you (or other testers) need specific function, don't hesitate to ask. The next step is to reduce the loading time, and open specific preset to generate a new one from its parameter's values (kind of shake function).
Moreover, I have to create a website and a good documentation
I will be happy to hear new sounds from your Vst plugins !

Of course it works with VSTi ! but (for me) it's not so interesting as with a VST Synth...
Which VSTi would you try with?
