This only occurs when trying "feedback looping" (taking the output of an effect and feeding it back in earlier in the chain) and is easily repeatable on my system (EXT 2.0, Win XP fully updated, P4 3.02GHz, 512MB Ram, Edirol PCR-1 sound card, ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 GFX):

1. Load any instrument and two effects.
2. Connect the instrument output to effect 1.
3. Connect the output of effect 1 to effect 2 (ie arrange them serially).
4. Connect the output of effect 2 to the main out and back to the input of effect 1.
5. This works fine (showing that the feedback looping works :hyper: ) but if you attempt to delete the instrument EXT instantly closes down!

Can anyone else confirm?

yes, but I've never done that sort of config before. :o

I don't know, but I'm guessing that feedback is an unnfinished feature. (or maybe an accident :( )
Anyway good cathc, I hope feedback chains become possible. We would need level siders in the comp view to prevent build-up clipping :hihi:

In fact it seems that the feedback configurations aren't really working as feedback
