Hi guys,
myself and a friend of mine have recently started playing gigs together. He plays the base and i play guitar and sing. We're currently on the lookout for a good drum machine that allows us to create our own beats. Also is it possible to buy a drum machine that allows you for example to plug in a keyboard and record strings and different effects, so that when i'm playing a gig and just playing the guitar the effects can play along with the drum machine. I hope i've made myself clear. I'm not very good when it comes to the hardware side of things.
Any info would be greatly appreciated. Also don't want to buy anything too expensive. It's just pubs and small clubs we play at.

I suppose it depends on your definition of too expensive, but the Adrenalinn sounds like it was made for you:

you should look into the korg electribe series of instruments. korg spent tons of resources making these machines, eventually they came out with bigger versions that had more bells and whistles but even the originals are good devices for live use.

also i'm not sure if you're talking about looping your keyboard sounds live, but for that you can get seperate devices that sync up via midi that can record and loop your stuff on the fly. check out boss's line of looping pedals for that(lower end models dont have midi on them), and another company like digitech made a small stompbox looper too called the jamman.

as for the drum machines though i recommend getting a performance sampler so you can really pick your own drum sounds out. many of them have external input that allow you to apply fx to your instruments live, roland/boss, yamaha, korg all have devices out there on the new and used markets.
