Digital Piano - Korg v Yamaha

I'm looking to buy a digital piano for under £500 - so far I like the look of Korg SP-250 and the Yamaha P70. I have tried the Yamaha in my local music shop - it's pretty good. I've not tried the Korg but i believe they're pretty good too. Aesthetically, I prefer the Korg (it's gonna be in my living room).

Anyone out there played the Korg sp-250?

Anyone think the Yamaha is a better option?

So far, anything by Yamaha has yet to disappoint, though you'd have to consider what each model of digital keyboard synths feature. KORG's are good too, but all in all, it depends on the type of sound you're looking for, and how you will use it.

I for one would go for a Yamaha over a Korg anytime. Some korg stuff is quite expensive, and probably will not appeal if you're just out for a digital piano. (They're more synthesizer-oriented)

I'm soon to be in the market for one of these also - my problem with the P70 was that i dont think it's as well multi sampled as the slightly higher priced yamahas... e.g. the CP33 or the P90 (if you can still find one)...

The P140 sounds nice.. but the problem is that it only has minijacks for headphones/audio out... and no proper volume switch from what ive read...

Korg was never famous for their digital pianos. By far Yamaha, Roland, Kawai offerings are much better. Do not decide based on 'looks', go to the closest piano/keyboard dealer and test them for yourself.
