BR XT2: SampleTank PreAnalysis does not work

When you load some presets in ST2 for the first time, ST2 performs a pre-analysis of the sounds to improve performance and saves a .stv file to disk.

This is not working in XT2 (tried in 15 June version). When I click the preset to load it in ST2, the preanalysis window pops up, but the progress bar shows no progress. I left it running in XT2 for 60 seconds, but no progress (XT2 was using 100% cpu). The [cancel] button in ST2 did not seem to have any effect. I had to forcibly end XT2 in the Windows Task Manager in order to continue.

Loading the same preset in ST2 in eXT1.4.1 did the preanalysis in 7 seconds.

I tried with several different presets. For each one the preanalysis locked up in XT2; and each preanalysis was OK in v141.

[Caleb, Subz - can you confirm this?]

Ah - I didn't understand you for a moment. You're talking specifically about presets which use the STRETCH engine.

I've confirmed that here just by activating STRETCH on a random preset. Totally stalls in pre-analysis. However, it allows you to cancel out of it so you don't have to exit XT2 or anything.

I have confirmed also that the same thing happens in XT1 when used as a plug-in in XT2.

I have confirmed also that it works correctly in XT1 standalone.

Put it on the bug list I say. ;)
