BR: midi editing bugs

I decided to munge up some fake aftertouch to test it in XT2 and found a few bugs. I tested these in today's beta but I think they were also present in the 2.0 release.
- Clicking in an empty CC, Aftertouch, Channel Pressure, Pitch Wheel, or Program Change lane of a midi part in the in-track editor crashes XT2 (but only if you click in the lane right after adding it).
- Drag-select in the midi editor also selects CCs & other data (Aftertouch/Channel Pressure/Program Change/Pitch Wheel). It's as if the events are invisible notes. For example: create a CC73 event at the beginning of a midi part, and then you can select it by clicking at C#4 in the piano roll at the beginning of the part.
- In the event list, the "h" of Aftertouch overlaps the note number.

Isn't that a feature? Those are attributes that usually are associated with a note.- Drag-select in the midi editor also selects CCs & other data (Aftertouch/Channel Pressure/Program Change/Pitch Wheel).
Everyting confirmed.
I am adding the other issues now.

it could be a feature if it worked in a reasonable way... as it is, it's kind of unpredictable what will be included when you drag to make a selection.soma wrote:Isn't that a feature? well, not really unpredictable. it'll select any event with data1 equal to the note number(s) where you're selecting. drag across C3 (note 60) and you'll also select CC60, Channel Pressure with value of 60, Program Change 60, and so on. also certain values of Pitch Wheel.insertpizhere wrote:it could be a feature if it worked in a reasonable way... as it is, it's kind of unpredictable what will be included when you drag to make a selection.
it almost makes sense for aftertouch because data1 is the note number in that case. it might be nice if the aftertouch could be transposed with the note as well, and selected just by clicking on the note instead of dragging over it.

here's another bug.
if you alt-drag to add a Pitch Wheel, Program Change, or Channel Pressure event, it can add huge numbers of events in the same location. double-click-drag works correctly.

one more.
the controller lane in the popup editor can cover up low notes. in XT1, you could scroll down to see all the notes. in XT2, you have to close the lane to be able to see them.

but you can't scroll past the controller lane. if you have notes in the bottom octave, they'll be hidden behind the lane.soma wrote:you can drag with a right click to scroll vertically.
