Ouch, that waa so bad I think I'm going to go heave some loamMeffy wrote:Parts of the program were pretty good but I'm glad it's over. At least I've been reinforced in my belief that it was Right and Good to write a shameless filk of "She's Leaving Home." (It's about a young woman discovering gardening and the joys of tilling the soil with fork and shovel. "She's Heaving Loam.")

well the fireworks just ended somewhere around here. it's fun, and actually this is the first year in a long time i haven't actually gone out and watched them. my cat is lounging on the top backrest part of the couch as if nothing is going on.Meffy wrote:Fireworks. It's getting dark here. I can't see the explosions but they're all around. The cats are getting nervous but haven't hidden under the furniture yet.
Wish we could get to the riverside but it's bound to be completely stuffed with cars and people. Just across the Powhatan River (aka the James) is Dogwood Dell, a park venue where there's a big professional fireworks display every year.
cheers to everyone reading this. lots of love to all.
