Rubberfilter - extreme filter with up to 384dB/Oct!

Sorry guys, I've been away for several days. Just updated the plugin: I fixed a EnergyXT2 bug and added programs. Due to a bug in several hosts they weren't able to load the preset if the plugin doesn't contain any programs. Now I added 4 dummy programs. Preset loading should work fine now in all those hosts. I really hate if there are bugs in hosts and everyone blames the plugin developer.

Hahhahaha! I love guys like you. It didn't work in ANY host I tried it in, but it's the hosts' faults. You and aciddose should start a club called "so better than everybody else that our stuff doesn't work with anything".

Regarding the zipper noise: The plugin was designed to act as static filter, automating the frequency should work without the zipper noise, but an automation of the order without the zipper noise is not trivial and would add a higher CPU load. If you need it sooo badly and if you have some cash to spend I can arrange that for sure.

Will try the new one. No complaints about the zipper noise, I understand you're adding stages. What about the GUI bug though when under heavy load? Been able to replicate that?

I must agree with the poster on the previous page, at times when i have to choose a between an effect that comes with an installer or dll i will always pick the dll. I've probably missed out on many good effects because of that

was2 ?! welche gegenkopplung? redest du hier von globalem feedback wie z.B. beim moog-filter? sowas gibt es bei butterworth-filtern normalerweise nicht. eigentlich kann man es sich wie eine serienschaltung von filtern 2. ordnung vorstellen (auch wenn es eventuell anders implementiert ist) - und wenn jedes einzelne teilfilter in der reihe stabil ist, dann ist es auch die reihe insgesamt (allerdings kann man nicht einfach identische filter in reihe schalten - das würde nämlich zu einer dämpfung von mehr als 3 dB am cutoff-punkt führen - hier kommen dann die butterworth filter-design gleichungen ins spiel). aber auch bei globalem feedback kann man nich sagen, das ab einer bestimmten ordnung in jedem falle instabilität eintritt, da man ja immer noch das feedback-gain runterdrehen kann (nötigenfalls auch bis auf null)

What do you need money for, isn't this a million dollar filter? Doesn't someone owe you big time?

I did read the thread before trying the filter and I already knew about not adjusting the dial while using the filter:

Sometimes moving the db setting causes very nasty zipper noises. I have read the earlier post about not turning this control whilst using the plugin but it is also happening when the plugin has no input on my pc.

I brought up the problem because I was getting the zipper noise by adjusting the db dial while the sequencer was stopped and there was no sound being fed to rubberfilter.

It's no big deal to me anyway and this new version seems to be much less prone to zippering in general or am I experiencing some kind of placebo effect?

Whatever is happening, it all seems to be working for me now. Thank you very much Christian!
