Novation X-Station audio latency?

I would like to know if it is possible to route the microphone through a VST plugin while also playing VST plugs via the soundcard? Is this possible with a good latency without getting dropouts? How low can you get with the latency settings without getting drop outs? Couldn't find this info in any review.
Some background info: I am using a latop as my soundengine for playing live (running brainspawns forte with some VST plugs). For some songs I want to use a vocoder effect via the microphone. I am looking hard for a keyboard with a build in soundcard (which has also a mic input). The X-Station looks like my dream machine but I really doubt if the USB audio can handle this (I guess it is still USB 1?).
Many thanks for your help!

I can get 2ms latency with my X-Station, running a microphone into Live6 with a vocoder on the same track. It's possible to play a synth on another track, and run as many plugs and clips as the CPU can handle. If I drop the latency to 1ms the sound cracks up ... but 2ms seems usable ... and yeah, it is USB1. Have you checked out the Xio-Synth?
