Why don't you keep this ugly fucken shit on their own forums?

Reaper still looks like ass to me, but i don't use it, so what does it matter.

Come to think of it, Does anyone use it? Seeing as there's an update at least every week i really wonder how anyone has the time to use it, in-between posting about every completely insignificant improvement that gets made. ("Wow! Reaper has track EQ's! LOLL!!1!1! Take that Pro-Tools!!")

...

Reaper is the ugly, acne-covered step-child that no one actually gives a f**k about.

My 2 cents.
Wow. That's some 2 cents.

Well, I've used about every host, made lots of records (I know, I know: cds) on two inch and then on Pro Tools and I love Reaper. Just made Laurabell Bundy's new cd with it (and a bunch of other things, principally chicano gangster rap, but including the mix of a George Clinton documentary, Los Super Elegantes tracks, and a load of What You Have to Do to Pay the Rent).

You should check it out before passing judgement: universal bussing, efficient vsti/rewire, dx and vst support, everything works with no bugs/crashes/bullshit.

okay, back to work.

Does anyone use it? Well, if I spent less time using it I'd have more time posting here about it!

I'm primarily a Live user, but I have toyed around with Reaper for a few weeks, and found it to be a very capable app, with tons of interesting and innovative features.

I really don't get what all the hatred is all about.

I really like the way Reaper lets you set Time Signature markers. This is something certain other hosts get wrong or don't even allow, and act puzzled when you try to explain why it's important.

it is nice to hear what Reaper does well from some of the folk who've been around here. I may have to give it another look.
or a squint. still ugly as hell.

Apart from that, it's dead easy to tempo map a freetime song in Reaper...you just play the song through once, and press the keystroke shortcut at the start of every bar...done! Everything matches the grid now. :)

Ok fair enough :) Be sure to drop a mention in the forums about the release of the George Clinton doco, i'd be right into seeing that, as i'm sure a lot of people here will be. I didn't know that Reaper had video support.

I've tried everything from trackers to tape, have 3 hosts installed, and will probably have a fourth later on in the year (Abeleton Live).

I don't see what Repear can do for me that what I already have can't. It looks aweful. And if i bought it i'd probably have to spend too much time here talking about how f**king great it is.
okay, back to work.
Yep, same.
