Hey ToTc
Great track but I myself liked the original version better than the remixes.
Here is the original for those interested:
http://www.pro-sounds.net/special/GimmeDatManyBass.mp3
The original already had that remix feel to it. But the remixes were trippy.
It feels strange having my name screamed out in that tone of voice though
Again thanks for surprising me via email with the track....It made my day.
I was thinking though of sending out a few links for the soundsets to the prebuyers early. This will help spread some of the Bandwidth and download speeds out. I'll email current buyers if/when we do this.
The VSTi itself so far has proved 100% stable during last tested beta release, so that is pretty cool as we should have squashed any possible bugs before official release.
Anyways....Time is running out to get ManyBass for the Pre Purchase special price of $99.95.
I would expect about a week or so left for this offer.

Release is scheduled for approximately end June which is approaching quickly. We are just finishing up the final details like the installers and getting it all live on the website this week. Depending on these final things and the fact that this upcoming weekend is a Long Weekend here in Canada, and thus I may not have a proper internet connection for 3 or 4 days, it may delay release until the first week of July. But that said....We are pretty much on schedule at this point, I just have to deal with the Long Weekend falling at the end of June, and the fact that the unpredictable can always sneak in.orangesuite wrote:any ideas exactly when this is going to available?

A little update....
As mentioned guys, I'll be away from a regular net connection this weekend, but expect release of ManyBass next week if all goes well the next days and nothing sneaks up on us.
Until then the pre purchase special price is still available. Don't be kicking yourself for missing out.
Details are on our web page.

Hi
Thanks Pete!
I posted an update on the release schedule in another thread so I'll copy that here:
We have had ManyBass in testing for months with no major bugs found at all, then just this week we find a small bug that Aldo is tracking down now. This will delay things a bit, but as said it surfaced at the last moments before release, so best that we caught it now. All the samples are on the server ready to download so I will start some of you on the downloads of these right away to spread the server load out. Anyone that wants to start their downloading can email me and I'll send you the sample links asap. (Rar files at the moment.... we'll have zips too for the Mac users who prefer zip files)
So that still leaves some time to get in on the sale price before we release.
Sorry for the slight delay guys but please hang in there, we are not much off schedule.

Is there anything free that can unzip RAR files? I don't understand why this format is used when you have to pay for a tool to unzip them. The only thing I've seen is a trial version on winrar.

I use Winrar, works fine, I just use the trial version. The trial version is fully functional, it just brings up a nag screen when you start it. The nice thing about the RAR format is that it has good Mac/Windows cross-platform support.

ManyBass is a HUGE Download. Rar format has been a standard for large audio files for the reason that it compresses much better than zip thus saving a fair bit of download time and bandwidth.
We will provide a utility to extract the files in the final installer also so you would not need a program to un rar the files. There is however a free program out there that handles extraction of Rars. Get it here:

So don't worry M8!

Well .... Not really Greg.... We have found a large percentage of Mac users who cannot deal with rars. It can be used on Mac but it causes some grief for folks who do not know how to handle it.Gregjazz wrote:I use Winrar, works fine, I just use the trial version. I think a lot of the issues are with the Mac browsers downloading a Rar file as a txt file thus confusing folks.
Anyways ....no worries guys we will have it all in as simple an installer as we can on the final release version.

Hi
An update on what is happening for you all.
No need to worry about needing a rar utility.
See this I posted in the thread in the ManyTone forum today:
QUOTE:
Hi Guys
I will start mailing those that emailed me for the early download of the soundsets today. This took a bit longer than I expected but we took the time to make an installer for them. At first I was going to just let you guys download the rars early, but now we have an installer to look after putting them all in the right place for you. You do not even need a rar utility now to install them as our installer has one built in. NOTE - This is for PC only at this time.
So ....you guys who emailed me for early download of the soundsets will be getting your links today!!! (PC Users... Mac will follow shortly).
The VSTi part will follow as soon as we get the release version packaged and on the server. Bear with us a few more days for this, then we will officially release ManyBass.
END QUOTE.
Last days to take advantage of the Intro special for those sitting on the fence still.

Bah but no picked Growl for those Burnel tones

I haven't seen a Rickenbacker bass in the sound list. Without that, a bass guitar sound collection is simply incomplete in my opinion and thus not for me at this point.
The rest looks pretty good though.

I can always sample picked growl or other requested soundsets and put it up on ManyBass.com for customers.mcl dagaz wrote:Bah but no picked Growl for those Burnel tones
@ MelloProg: The deep bass soundsets sound pretty close to a Rickenbacker.
