I'm trying to find some clean sounds to aid me in my solos. And by that I mean I can't play as fast as I'd like so I'd rather sequence it. I've got my amp sim set up so all I need is some clean hammer-on/pull-off samples to feed into it.

There used to be some ultimate guitar kit or something...? I can't find it anymore.

In a thread a few days ago, no-one was getting it to play in common soundfont players. Please, if you succeed, please tell us what host and player you used! Thanx in advance.

DVSguitar is a nice punchy free plugin,

These seem to work in all the sf2 players I try

Kamac Distortion Guitar 400k.SF2
Kamac Distortion Guitar.SF2

from http://www.hammersound.net/
88 guitar soundfonts there. :)

DVSguitar is a nice punchy free plugin,
I used RGC Audio's sfz player:

I tried it out in MiniHost and then in Cubase SX, with positive results.

I did have problems getting the soundfont to work in other players (I tried some plugs from Experiment Four and Sonic Assault, and I couldn't get all the sounds to load)

I like DVSguitar, I think there is like a "power" preset for that one... I remember thinking it sounded really close to the under-produced guitar tone on old heavy metal records.
