good news william - that 2nd 'test' .dll you sent me appears to have solved the problem with the error message popping up on loading a previously saved tracktion project containing tubilesax
i can now reload projects with no errors [still getting one on daAlfa2k update though]
you want to send metalsvinet the link to see if he can confirm this ???
but -
still getting no effect from the 'air' and 'keys' sliders in tracktion

ok - to further confirm
just switched back from the 'test2' file you sent to the 'standard' update
new tracktion project
noodle in the piano roll
insert tubilesax
running fine
save project
shut tracktion down
restart tracktion
reload previously saved file
uh-oh !!! - error message returns
so - whatever you did in the 'test2' file definitely did the trick
btw - the new crossfading sounds good - getting a few clicks here but having trouble pinning them down

more on the not working of the 'air' and 'keys' sliders in tracktion -
having compared this to how the plug works in massiva and bidule it seems that there is a problem [or rather inconsistency] with the way these to parameters output to the host -
1 - in tracktion - neither 'air' nor 'keys' produce any audible output [even when set to full]
2 - in bidule - these 2 sliders work as presumably intended - 'air' adding a breath noise and 'keys' adding a click at note-on
3 - in massiva - the sliders work as intended BUT the ouput of both is noticably louder than in bidule [to the point where the click is REALLY intrusive if 'keys' is set to full]
someone else [cant remember] has said elsewhere that he has the same problem in orion and FL ???
[EDIT] - here it is -
[/EDIT]
i cant even [with my limited to sync and synthedit DSP knowledge] begin to hazard a guessas to whats going on with this
any ideas william / liqih ???

experiment4, i get the the same error
also, several parameters have no effect
"Air" doesn't seem to be making any effect in FL and Orion either. So I thought these two sliders were not enabled in the beta...

I'm pretty sure that I've been hearing the air and keys in Tracktion, though it may only be with the latest, "special" version. Speaking of which, what did you change, William? Whatever was causing the problem, I would think that Jules would like to know for future reference...

I changed the built from BETA to DEMO, so it removed all presets saving, the BETA time-limit code, the SerialNumber check. So now I have to think wich one is the problematic one.
Also, keep in mind that daAlfa2k V2.1 has the same problem right? Could you confirm that? Wall told me that maybe is the MessageBoxes, but daAlfa2k doesn't have any on the start... so maybe is the registery reader? But why the heck only in Traction is giving problems...?
Ahh, coding sometimes is painfull.

pough - im not hearing the air / keys effects in either version
william - i wondered why i was getting DEMO messages with the special version
and - i CAN confirm that the same message pops up when loading an existing project containing daAlfa2k [registered version] - i dont remember this happening before the recent update so maybe something you changed for that has affected things ???

The problem is that I'm not doing anything wrong, I'm pretty sure of it, since I went trought the whole code while doing daAlfa V2.1, was a lot of work. And on all hosts it works, just not Tracktion. How can I contact the guy in charge there?

Well, I was pretty tired last night. It's a bit of a blur. Maybe they were working in energyXT - I'll test for sure later.experimentfour wrote:pough - im not hearing the air / keys effects in either version

pough - air and keys ARE [ive just checked] working fine in energyXT standalone [but not when using it as a vsti within tracktion]
william - just so you know im not imagining this - these two .mp3s below are identical [and simple] midi sequences recorded in tracktion and massiva through tubilesax on its default settings but with the 'keys' slider FULL UP
on the massiva one you can clearly hear [even through the 128 encoding] the click at each note on that i assume is what the keys thing is meant to do
on the tracktion one you can hear that each note on is totally smooth - no click at all from the 'keys' - as ive said above - this even happens if tubilesax is loaded inside energyXT vsti [even though in energyXT standalone the keys clicks ARE there]
massiva
tracktion
[both about 64k]
wierd huh ?!? - PLEASE get in touch with jules and try to find out what tracktion is doing to the output of tubilesax to make this happen

New Update!
We just uploaded a new update.
- Changes on the GUI images - about box added
- Changes on the compilation, could solve Tracktion problems, not sure yet. Could someone test?
Even if you just instaled Full or Lite you must update.
Best Regards, WilliamK
