any good ones around 60-100 euros??? I couldn't find any decent reviews till now...

Sony 7506's are very popular with artists for tracking monitoring.

What's your primary use, artist monitoring or personal listening. FWIW, it is highly recommended not to use headphones as a primary source for the engineer for recording or mixing.

I know, I just want some decent headphones when I'm not at home for monitoring... You think those Sony's are ok? I am look at some AKGs at the moment, the 141 and the 240 models, they look pretty cool....

P.S.: Someone at KVR, I forget who, turned me on to this site when I was in the market. I ended up with Sennheiser 280 Pro, pretty good cans for not much dosh. They do what I need.

maybe a used beyerdynamik dt 990....I'm totally satisfied with them..perfect fit..great sound

Our artist clients generally prefer the 7506's over the 240's when tracking.

Ultrasone proline 2500 (or proline 750 for a closed equivalent).

For a headphone that you can actually pan on...nothing can touch these. Bass seems very deep and powerful, the top end can be bright on poor recordings but shines on good recordings. Mids are neutral for the most part.

Caveat emptor...they NEED a decent headphone amp to sound decent.

You can pan on any stereo headphone that is fed a stereo mix.

audiorules, yes indeed you can, but your pans won't translate well to loudspeakers. I've tried many different models and the only headphones I can trust with stereo decisions are the Ultrasones. I have tried the 750 and 2500 prolines and the 2200 model and they all sound amazing, but the 2500 is the sharpest and most accurate of them all in terms of detail and overall midrange accuracy.

I wouldn't advise to mix on headphones and prefer to use speakers but if you are caught with nasty neighbours you need to use headphones at times especially at night.

this is easily the best site for cans available!

I had a bit more to spend so I got beyerdyn 770's.

I also have used those 280's mentioned......for the money they are hard to beat.

Headphones????
